1. I'm sure the cat-spirit can in some way be implicated for Yuta's current condition, but I'm not sure how.
2. My interpretation of this is: If Yuta goes unconscious from panty viewing overload, he goes unconscious for an extended period of time, which in turn prevents a chain of events through which he would have otherwise stopped the collision. In other words: He's not responsible for bringing the meteor, but he is responsible for stopping it.
3. Yes, this seems very likely, in some combination with the above point.

Additional speculation: I agree it's clear that the spandex costume guy is clearly whoever currently has control of Yuta's body.. who is clearly aware of how to use the powers and doesn't seem to be effected by the overload issue.
