Most of the threads here seem overwhelmingly focused on fiction. Who here reads mostly non-fiction? I've tried to pick up reportedly enjoyable books like Dune and Neuromancer, for example, however I just found them boring to read through despite being alright literature. I do, however, love me some Chomsky, Bookchin, Marx, etc. If you predominantly read non-fiction, what's your favourite subject?

julesguise posted:I find anything about the Israeli-Palestine conflict to be really interesting, or pretty much anything that documents how to Middle East got to the way it was, though a lot of history is up to debate, especially regarding an ongoing conflict. Sometimes reality is more interesting than fiction. Those look like really interesting reads. If you haven't checked them out already, you might find both Ilap Pappe or Chomsky's The Fateful Triangle interesting.
