Yeah, no. He legit received a ton of backlash that was born out of homophobia and from alt-right mags chuds. Sure, his prose wasn't for everyone and he is fine with that, and even says that he doesn't want to lump in the people who just didn't like it with the toxic fans, but a lot of people on here and on Reddit like to say those alt-right mags chuds and their homophobic hate mail he got didn't exist when it did. It very much did. I am immediately suspicious of anyone who says otherwise.
