Just want to say on the first page that anyone who was a fan of the busting balls, hangout vibe of old O&A should listen to a few Legion of Skanks episodes. They'll admit that they talk over each other too much and its not always perfect, but I think it's the best comedy podcast there is.

Not sure what the fan favorites are, but the one where everyone wants to see each others' anuses stands out as a good first listen to me.

Bennington rules.

Stern was legitimately funny (to me) when Jackie was handing him jokes the whole show, but Howard can read and deliver a joke properly. Opie with writers ain't gonna fix his comedic problems.

That's a drat shame. You, Disco Dog and RonsCigar are really good at picking out the best bits, and SiriusXM loses no money for free advertisement.

The three strike thing is ridiculous; happened to me back in 2009. Was stupid of me to think I didn't have to keep backups of videos, but I lost everything because of a few very short TV clips I uploaded. Hope you had the ones that got deleted saved.

He always tries to refute that claim with "I was the facilitator of the show, I moved it along, kept it professional, handled negotiations". Which is Opie code for: "I road the coat tails of these other funny guys and knew they had something I could exploit and ride the wave. I'll just do what any loving moron in radio can do like reset interviews and come back from break! Also, I let my lawyer do the money talk and was most influential in our contracts."

If Ant was being truthful during their human garbage fight, he wasn't even good at negotiations or contracts. He'd leave Ant, Jim and the whole staff in the dark about his intentions, wait until the last minute before a contract would expire and then sign a new deal that wasn't difficult to get.

The redditors who dwell on it every single day need to let go, but it sounds like Opie hasn't been honest with himself or the audience at all. A funny video of one of the hosts sucking a cock would've been brought up on the show for weeks 5 years ago. Now they pretend online communities do not exist.

Well, Anthony didn't want to deal with anyone in the way of going home to drink, and Jim didn't have his name on the show, so basically that gives Opie free reign. Anthony might claim he wanted to be involved at some point but he sure was all about noping out as soon as possible in the later years.

It sounded to me like Opie always had full control over contracts. If that was the case, which I might be wrong about, then it wouldn't matter whether or not Ant gave a gently caress. He was at the whim of Opie.

Either way, Ant's lack of giving a gently caress is absolutely what got him fired and killed the show. Opie sucking was a fact even during the best of times, so I don't see why Reddit needs to rub his nose in it. Though it is entertaining to watch unfold.

I really like the new-not-live Bonfires and wish they would do those every time. Radio shows don't need callers.

Jay and Soder are way too nice to callers, that's my one complaint about The Bonfire. There was one show where a few callers told some bullshit stories about sex or fighting, I forget which, and they had a guy on air for a few minutes sounding like he was making it up as he went along.

I love Ron's way of hanging up on callers as soon they are done contributing.

The one legit point Opie has is that Ant got himself fired, and O&A was basically done by that point anyway. But they're pretty much irrelevant to the conversation today, and his relevant arguments are insane.

I just hope that when Jimmy is done that Soder doesn't take the Opie money. The Bonfire is killing it.

I sympathize with Opie a lot. I spent most of my life lying, ignoring my feelings, ignoring conflict and pretending everything is okay. It's a toxic way of life that ruined almost all of my relationships.

But I'm literally half his age and have been trying to change that for a while now. Opie has no intention of admitting any fault in his personality, actions or lack thereof. I'd listen to the show again if Opie could start talking about himself honestly, because as of now he's just a shell of a person. A Greggshell. :haw:

Luis J Gomez and Dave Smith were with him. He said he's very confident about his case, but cannot discuss any details of what happened (yet). I would like to put this out there in all seriousness. Amidst all of the negativity that has gone on over the past year or so I honestly have to say that I feel terrible about the whole thing with the people involved. This was a show that I listened to since the late 90s and the every show from 2004's XM days on. These guys felt like part of my family as I listened to all of their shows in my headphones at work. I felt like "part of the gang" and it got me through some real rough patches in my life with their humor. It was a 20 year career that exploded in everyone's faces and had such negative effects to everyone involved.

All the comics that relied on them for publicity are torn between the shows, employees lost jobs, friendships turned to enemies, the list goes on. Everyone's private lives and secrets went public, many of their own fault.
Jimmy is trapped and on unstable ground and looking to make sure he is employed which is is unsure since the on air fight that brought out all the crap between him and Opie.
I read all the comments here and Reddit and see what happened to Anthony, a former brilliant broadcaster who is tied with Jimmy for unbelievable quick timing that has had me in hysterics numerous times.
I may get crapped on for this but I'm just being honest. It was my favorite entertainment for over 10 years and to see it devolve into this. It is just heartbreaking.
