Aw, man, MGS drinking game. I tried that with a couple of friends, once. Take a shot every time someone mentions nanomachines. (This rule was preemptively waived for anything past the first game) Take a shot every time someone says "Metal Gear". Take a shot every time Snake repeats the previous sentence in the form of a question. It went from "This is boring, I'll just take a drink whenever" to "Holy poo poo, I literally cannot drink fast enough to keep up" in the space of the DARPA chief scene.

I was thinking of making a joke about how the American version footage was all action music and explosions, while the Japanese one was all slow, vocal themes and cutscenes, but then you showed the TGS B-roll video.

Things that have destroyed Metal Gear RAY: Raiden, with a rocket launcher. Solidus, with a P90. A half-exploded, rusted-out Rex. Cyborg Ninja Raiden with a sword. Some unaugmented Brazilian samurai with a sheath that shoots heirloom swords. And I'm probably missing some more examples from MGS4 because seriously, gently caress that game.
