I Grey Hunter, First of his name, King of the Grognardy LP's, Master of terribly painted forces and Warden of someplace you've probably never heard of hereby oath, for this month of May - 1 UCM Phoenix Command gunship. 3 UCM Condors 3 UCM Sabres 3 UCM Rapiers 2 UCM Archangels 1 Scourge Oppressor! [/b]  I was going to do something completely different, but Ugleb and I have a game on tomorrow, and the Archangles and the new commanders arrived today, so I got out the condors and tanks from the second starter box I got and decided to throw them in as well!

Lets get July rolling! I, Grey Hunter, Oath the following - Malifaux "The Relic hunters" Box set (seven minis, 28mm, Wyrd Minitures) & (Because they are on my table and I'm to lazy to move them) 50 N scale cars, by some random Chinese manufacturer, which will become scatter terrain for Dropzone Commander (10mm)  The cars are now properly smashed and glued into wreak piles, so time to get rusting!

Oath Complete The cars now look suitably post apocalyptic.  Eagle, Ready to hunt.  The Longbows, Katana's and mortars.  I cannot get a good photo of these guys to save my life, I've been trying for half an hour, but my lightbox got knocked when the inlaw's came down, and something just isn't right. Also, the new matt varnish I've got seems to be leaving more of a sheen than the last lot, while it looks ok on the models, which is playing havoc with my photos.

And, as an aside, here is a Marauder I painted a couple of years ago for the oath thread. I really think I've improved since then! I'm linking the increase in Dropzone commander stuff, more and more people are discovering the good game. In other news. Oath complete  My first time painting translucent plastic, and it was interesting. I kept the colors uncomplicated, as I didn't want to make things to busy. Also, taking a good photo of these guys was a pain in the arse!

That's (stealing from the baccus website) 1 HQ of 18 figures 2 companies of advancing infantry each of 4 figures 3 companies of firing infantry each of 4 figures 1 x Pioneer company of 4 figures 2 x 17cm mortars and crew 4 x 150mm Howitzers and crew 1 HQ of 9 figures 3 Regimental HQs each of 4 figures 20 companies of advancing infantry each of 4 figures 20 companies of firing infantry each of 4 figures 1 x Pioneer company of 4 figures 10 MG08 teams 2 squadrons of uhlans of 3 figures 6 x 77mm and crew 3 x 105mm Howitzers and crew 9 x 77mm mortars and crew 2 x 170mm mortars and crew Aka about 300 miniatures all told. Please trust me and don't try and count them individually.

Oath Complete! And here we go!  There you go, one entire Division of German troops, plus Corps HQ.  Right lads! Lets get this over so we can get home for some Sauerkraut and schnitzel! We need lots of guns to get this offensive going.  We need to back the troops up with local support from mortars.  Then all we need to do is hit them with wave after wave of troops.  Then we can move the drinks cabinet a few feet closer to Paris!  "Hold me Hans, I have a bad feeling about this."

With a baby due any day now, I'm keeping this sane for this month. I hearby Oath the following - Three Martian Tripods (2 Scout, one converted Slaver) and 1 US command tank - 15mm by the now defunct Alien Dungeon. Ten 6mm Bunkers by Levan Miniatures.  I may oath more as we go, but I'm going for small and sane.

Oath Complete! Lets start with the low quality "Drybrush Grey then base"  Oh yeah, thats where it's at, I can feel the Judges points already...... And here some stuff I spent more than half an hour on. (glue takes time to dry people!)    For my first time painting WWII tanks since making scale models as a kid, I'm fairly happy with these two.

Sadly it's pretty much dead Yeah, I got these cheap from someone's fire sale when Alien Dungeon closed up shop - hence the grey converted one, people got smart and wanted £40 for a Controller Tripod, so I got some scouts and converted one. Its a fun game, it needs a few rough edges filed off, but that never going to happen, I've got enough now for about 1000-1500 points on both sides, but then its going to be a bit of fun. Shame, as I love the tripods.
