yooka would be rad if he wasn't loving eye-searing neon green, laylee would be rad if she was something entirely different and not the result of a horrible teleporter accident between stitch and rodan

Your complaints about that game are extremely petty in my opinion. Laylee's a cartoon bat, comparing her to Stitch is kind of disingenous as Stitch already looked like a bat anyways. I quite like the look of it so far, and a lot of the touted features sound pretty fun, although I still wish it was Banjo.

Stux posted:mods? We Are The Mods sounded like it could have been awesome. quote:The project had begun as a PlayStation 2 spiritual follow-up to the earlier hit 'The Warriors', but part way through the development cycle Rockstar New York asked us to switch Mods from a Sixth Generation to a Seventh Generation development, changing from the PlayStation 2 to the Xbox 360 as the primary development platform. Much of the content here reflects that change, with Mods being the first Seventh Generation project the team had worked on. It was a learning experience for everyone involved. The game was similar in design and style to "The Warriors" but set in 1960's England at the height of the "Mods" vs. "Rockers" era.

Roguelikes are cool when it's not just some lovely indie dev hoping that an RNG and permadeath will make up for their inability to actually balance a game.

Buttmeister posted:also should I play ADOM or ToME 4 ADOM is more traditional, it has a bunch of specific monsters and set-pieces which will gently caress you over, unless you know exactly what to do. ToME is more modern style where you build up a huge array of skills and abilities which allow you to plow through 99% of monsters with ease, and then some messed up unique boss thing puts you down in 2 turns Angband style. I find ToME a bit boring, but it's also a lot more fair than ADOM. ADOM is terrifying and out to get you every single turn.

Once you learn what your goals and quests should be depending on your character, it becomes really fun though. Spears still broken good.
