Re: the blinking tail lights, I have seen that while on the track behind a GT3 before, it's a feature that typically only gets coded on Euro delivered cars but you can enable on a lot of brands (Mercedes in particular, my E55 was capable of it.) Not just an artifact of a camera, at least on the Mercedes it was intended to signal "hard" braking based on pedal position.
