In the vacuum it's presented in it comes off like a huge "gently caress you feminists." It's a situation that could've been fixed with a simple reaction shot or a single line if that wasn't their intention, and I'm not convinced it wasn't. It was a really awful choice to include in the trailer. Personally I wouldn't mind if she got stuck with the Supergirl name but absolutely hates it.
