I forget what 8chan does. I do know that if it's a number other than 4, it's probably something that was kicked out of 4chan, which doesn't usually lead to good things.

What about the idea of 4chan appealed to that demographic? Off the top of my head, I think that it's mostly because 4chan was intertwined with nerd culture, which was already heavily balanced towards young white guys.

It started in what, 2003 or 2004? The internet was a lot more male then than it is now, at least in a lot of places.
