I do all of the Skellige ?s on every playthrough, they have a bunch of of little vignettes that aren't quests or anything but still tell a tiny story. Ghost ships, sacrifices, hanged pirates, a large ship covered in flames. Plus I like to make all of the mastercrafted and later grandmaster armors and weapons and those chests are full of dimeritium or things that could be broken down into dimeritium or at least its component thingies. I like to mentally map out the ?s to go for on a little run and relax and sail around and see what there is to see, just takin' however long it takes. Helps that the Skellige music is great

You can tell the yen choice is more canonical and they put more effort into their interactions. A big post-launch update introduced some new dialog to flesh out Geralt's motivations if you choose Triss though. If you choose both, there's some optional dialog right before the finale that's just cold.

At first release there was a really fun bug where the finishing move where Geralt gets them on their knee then slices their head off would send the whole body flying off like he’d just smashed a home run. They patched it out eventually, super lame

Doing another playthrough and found a small thing I hadn’t seen before in the Towerful of Mice quest I’d always gone through the tower with a torch or the cat potion but had neither this time and had to keep the magic lamp on the whole time. Turns out Annabel’s ghost is visible on each level running up to escape the peasants, it’s not part of any ghost vignette scene thingy so I’d never seen that before! I’m sure lots of people’ve seen that but I somehow missed it in every playthrough so far

The VA for Yennefer is miles better than the one for Triss as well. Triss always sounds like she’s doing an impression of what she thinks a stage actor being forlorn would sound like

In Blood and Wine when you do some quests that are part of a statue being built there are little scenes of geralt and roach on the side of the road, little campsite with geralt enjoying some sort of brew. Would be sweet if that were a part of the game, how you cooked and made potions n’ stuff.

Going through towards the end of the Blood and Wine story and remembered something I found out a few playthroughs ago and not sure I posted if you save your game in the land of 1,000 fables after getting the unicorn, you can use that save for NG+ and your roach will be a saddle-less unicorn in the regular game it’s hilarious

If you do the little night quest in Oxenfurt to get rid of some guys harassing a lady there’s a follow-up later in a corner of the city just south of the western gate that I’d never seen or heard of before the harassers jump you but the lady shows up with a sword and helps you out, turns out she can take care of herself afterall

Downloaded the patch for PS5 around 9:30pm,which is weird because I was under the impression that it wouldn't be available until midnight local time everywhere. Not that I'm complaining. Actually thought it was releasing tomorrow night because I'm an idiot so this was a nice surprise! Got as far as the inn at White Orchard and everything is nice and pretty so far. New controls for casting signs is going to take some getting used to, nearly got wrecked by the opening ghoul attack like a noob from pressing the wrong thing

I like to do that one after getting allll the other base game cards so I get the Collect 'em All quest to pop right after beating the last guy. Then rip through the rest of the quest like a freight train because I'm so overleveled by then

I adore the soundtrack. I use some of the skellige music as part of my wake up alarm every day and put Whispers of Oxenfurt on loop in the background on days where I want to get stuff done around the house (instrumental version, not that weird one on the OST with singing nobody likes)
