I'm pretty sure this is the only Metroidvania outside of SOTN I've finished. The nice theme for the opening area helps my favorable half memory of this game I spent way too much time grinding souls in. I expect it's wrong, but I've always been convinced it was faster to travel through empty areas by mashing the back dash than walking

Persephone, and their soul, are just the best. Alas, her crippling case of good manners renders their kung fu mostly useless. Curly soul is also pretty hilarious. "-Is pretty hilarious" sums up a lot of souls, really. Which isn't a bad thing.
