Well from what I can tell, the biggest bullshit of the fight really is the guy randomly changing into defense form and bounce back all your queued attacks for an TKO, and there's a way (two ways actually) to get around it.

"That's going in the cringe reel for sure."

Offhand, during the WM kill, you can use eagle eye on the turn it uses abyssal offering since rear guard lets you outslow it and apply the debuff after it purges debuffs. So you can use double bodyguard to block demons rage and then uroboros guard the next move. I don't think I've personally seen the AG swap to defense mode the turn after it uses the scripted demons rage.

I actually had the idea of showing off Alice soloing killing the Abyssal God as a joke, but I did the math for Tagen Battou and found that it was impossible to pull off under normal circumstances. So I gave up on that idea until I found out about the Curse glitch.

That doesn't work. The form changes count as swapping to an entirely different monster, meaning that any debuffs and disables get purged anyway.

Not sure what to say about that last part though, as I saw nothing in the AI about that.

The Grand Finale

It’s time to end this, once and for all.

This is the party I’ll be using for this fight.

Sidney is going to be one of our primary damage dealers.

Asteria is our other damage dealer. And she won’t be using magic for this fight. I’ve had her go full on muscle wizard simply because Meteor does not deal enough damage to the Abyssal God. Oh, I was feeding her those Power Books for a reason.

Cassandra is our defensive support and will keep the party from dying.

Faye is our primary support and will buff up our damage dealers and keep them alive. I also gave her head bind immunity so Foul Glacier won’t shut her down.

Akatsuki is our other defensive support and he’s also taking up the role of tentacle bait. He has the lowest max HP in the party, so he’ll be able to draw Chaos Tentacle away from the other party members. Oh, and his Knife has a fire forge in it.

And here’s my Limit setup.

Fun fact about this party, it’s the same party I 100%ed the game with on my very first playthrough. Well, replace the Monk/Princess with a Princess/Monk and you’ll have my party. And yes, I knew that fighting the Abyssal God fair and square was possible ever since the very beginning of this Let’s Play. In fact, this fight was recorded before I even recorded all those cheese kills. Some people wanted to know how many tries this took me, and the answer, is one. Yes, really. There’s actually one more trick that I haven’t shown off that you can use to deal with the Abyssal God to even the odds, and you’ll see that in a bit. And I did say before, grinding to level 99 in this game is entirely unnecessary, and I stand by that.

“Gigantic” barely suffices to describe the immensity of the being you see... The gigantic being hasn’t so much as glanced toward you. It simply lies malignantly in place... This must be the ultimate source of the evil that lurks in the Yggdrasil Labyrinth! Defeat the evil whose tendrils extend to the world above and win back true freedom for Armoroad!

Alright, Evil One! This ends now! Let’s go, everyone!

Right!

:black101:Video: Abyssal God:black101:

Let’s do this for real this time.

There’s absolutely no reason for this party to waste any time on the 1st form, so I’m taking it down right away.

Cassandra will protect the party from getting fried.

And Faye will patch up the party.

I’m onto your tricks.

Fear nothing!

A chilling dunk!

Wakey wakey!

Music stops.

:siren::siren:

Round 3, let’s do this!

The first part of this fight is really just a time waster, so there’s not much I can really do here other than set up.

Glad we could get your assistance one last time.

Indeed. Let’s make this count!

I’m not falling for that again!

If you were hoping that I would take such obvious bait, you are sadly mistaken.

Gonna start piling on attack buffs on these two.

Faye will also join in on buffing up their attack power, while the Cassandras protect Sidney and Asteria from Chaotic Beckon.

This oughta get your blood pumping!

We think not.

I’ll never understand how Rose is able to bear doing this.

Hopefully this’ll be the last time we’ll have to use this technique. Ow.

And the last attack buff I’ll be stacking onto Sidney and Asteria.

How about, no?

It is important to fight on a full stomach, Mister Sidney.

Heh, thanks for the concern, Akatsuki.

Gonna have the Cassandras use Provoke to ensure that the upcoming Demon Rage goes after them and not the rest of my party.

This scripted Abyssal Offering makes it pointless to even try to damage the thing during this part of the fight. So just use this time you’re given to prepare for the rest of the fight.

How does it feel to be an utter failure? You were trapped underground by Yggdrasil the moment you came to this planet, and your plans to break free were stopped by us, a group of mere explorers. Quite pathetic, don’t you think?

Might as well get Indomitable up on Sidney.

I won’t have him get ready to attack yet. Gonna have him place a debuff on the Abyssal God when it shifts forms.

I’ll have Asteria heal up all that damage she took from using Berserker Vow.

Now I’m gonna have her get ready to attack.

The Cassandras will protect Sidney and Asteria from any incoming Demon Rages.

Not even something like you can knock me down!

And that’s why I had Cassandra equip a Crush Amulet, as Demon Rage’s damage can add up very quickly.

AWWOOO!

You’re gonna love this. Trust me.

...Oh. Right. Oops.

And then I realized I just used up that Etheric Charge on Second Wind. Good going, Fetus.

Right, let’s try that again.

The reason I packed Uroboros Guard was to completely protect my team from Rising Claw, since that deals enough damage to kill off Faye and Akatsuki, and the stun is just annoying to deal with.

I’ll save you the trouble. Don’t bother.

They never listen...

My calculations show me that my next attack should have interesting results.

Now I’ll have Sidney Charge up for his next attack. There’s a reason why I’m not having Sidney and Asteria attack at the same time.

It is time to unleash the Muscle Wizard. :getin:

I realized that Sidney was really low on HP, and that this was the turn where Chaos Tentacle would come out, so I’m gonna ensure that he gets healed. Now Sidney does have Indomitable up, so he’s not in any real danger, but no need to waste a Limit like that.

Uh, Cassie, you should probably help out Sid. Just saying.

Oh, indeed.

Ah, thanks for that!

...PFFFFTHAHAHA REALLY!? That’s all you got? Aha! Hahaha! Oh, my sides...

If you’re not keen on taking advantage of accessorizing, you can also use the Hoplite’s Overwatch skill to nullify Chaos Tentacle. Of course once it starts randomizing, that stops being a reliable tactic.

...Remind me to thank Rose for all the training she put me through.

5 digit damage. The Muscle Wizard has been unleashed. :getin:

Heh, wait till you get a load of this!

Now Sidney will attack.

While Asteria powers up her next Freezing Blow.

Primitive Burn will come out this turn, so now it’s time to use Antifire.

For some otherworldly horror, you sure are predictable.

...Oh, don’t look so smug.

Ha ha. Sorry Sid, but at least you tried!

Not as much damage as Asteria dealt, but still good damage nonetheless.

The Abyssal God is shifting forms this turn due to its HP going under 76%. The reason I desynced Sidney and Asteria’s attacks was so I could sneak in one last Freezing Blow with Knighthood before the form shift occurs.

Up you go!

A freezing pot shot!

Coward!

Unfortunately for the Abyssal God, I knew it was shifting forms this turn.

While the Abyssal God is wasting my time staying in defense form, I’m going to reapply buffs and such to Sidney and Asteria.

The Abyssal God has a 29% chance of shifting forms now, and it will use an elemental attack once it does. I’m having this Cassandra cover Primitive Burn because I really don’t want the Abyssal God to erase Sidney and Asteria’s buffs.

Now as for the trick I haven’t shown off yet, it involves Faye using Knighthood on Akatsuki as he uses a regular attack.

Dark Lightning has the potential to be a run ender, so that’s the other one I’m prioritizing. I’m not too concerned about Foul Glacier, as Faye is the only one I’m worried about getting tagged by its effect, but I already gave her head bind immunity.

Too slow, buddy!

How foolish. It is trying to counter an attack that has already occurred.

And there’s the real answer to dealing with the defensive form’s shenanigans. Priority. The Abyssal God has absolutely no answers to it. It’s AI can read your inputs when it comes to attacks, but it can’t tell if priority is active. And none of the Abyssal God’s skill have priority anyway. It genuinely can’t do anything about it. If you have access to Knighthood, Quick Draw, or Fore Honor, you can shut down what the defensive form can do for the most part with absolutely no consequence. Or you can take advantage of the Rear Dignity bug and force it to move last. All those Spurting Fumes checks? They won’t matter if you already moved first. If you have access to those skills, you can neutralize the threat that the Abyssal God poses during its defensive phases. But if you don’t, you’ll have to play with fire and risk getting tagged by ailments and such. The downside to making use of priority is that you can’t force the Abyssal God to shift forms sooner, but that’s really a small price to pay compared to being put at a massive disadvantage thanks to Spurting Fumes.

You can’t stay like that forever!

We can do this alllll day, you know.

At this point, the Abyssal God has taken 6 actions (remember, the action the Abyssal God took after shifting forms counts toward that), so it’s guaranteed to shift forms next turn.

Unfortunately, while the guaranteed form shift will always have it use Primitive Burn, the random shift is checked for first, so the Abyssal God can still cast Foul Glacier or Dark Lightning.

Also a word of warning about the elemental Prophecies. I know I had Akatsuki learn them, but I’m not using them now for a very simple reason. They won’t work at all. See, the way the Prophecies work is that they’re a single target attack that waits to counter an attack from said target. The way the Abyssal God’s form shifts are handled form a mechanical standpoint is that the forms are considered to be separate monsters, and when the form shift happens, a new monster is summoned and the current HP the previous monster had is transferred over. Meaning that the Prophecies won’t work because now they’re trying to counter an attack from a non-existent monster. So even if I were to have Akatsuki cast Ice Prophecy and the Abyssal God casts Foul Glacier upon switching forms, Foul Glacier will not get blocked.

Yes it’s really dumb, but that’s unfortunately the nature of technological limitations. And yes, it would have been better to give Akatsuki a Hoplite subclass, but I just felt like replicating my party from my very first playthrough of EO3 for this fight.

But like I said, I’m only really worried about Primitive Burn and Dark Lightning. Foul Glacier just isn’t that big of a concern to me with this party setup.

I’m afraid you chose poorly.

Basically my strategy with this party is to minimize the amount of risk involved and set up safety nets so that I’m not in danger of losing the fight instantly due to bad RNG.

And now I have a free turn to do whatever I want.

Oh, just give up already!

Ahaha. You can’t exactly fault it for trying.

After all, we’re whooping its butt big time!

Another reason why I desynced Sidney and Asteria’s attacks, is that the Abyssal God reads your inputs upon switching to defense form, but I can use Knighthood to avoid the consequences of that entirely. So even if it decides to switch forms, I only have one person attacking at a time so there’s no danger of the attacker getting pelted by a counterattack or putting the entire at a disadvantage thanks to Spurting Fumes.

Now it’s okay to use the Prophecies. Now I have the Cassandras use the Anti skills to cover the other 2 elements. Now at this point, the Abyssal God acts randomly in its offensive form, but the very first attacks the AI tries to check for are the elemental attacks, and I currently qualify for all of them to have a chance to be cast. So at this point, the Abyssal God only has a 13.8% chance of not using an elemental attack. Very good odds to buy free turns for my party, if I do say so myself.

I’ll snow you just how much this club can hurt!

I foresee an electrifying attack.

...Oh. I guess I was off the mark on that one.

Don’t worry.

We have you covered.

I’ve been saving my best explosives for you!

Not much left to the fight. Of course, that’s assuming that I don’t have to deal with the defensive form. At the very least, I have one more turn of guaranteed damage.

Parting shot!

That was a big miscalculation on its part!

Welp, it just signed its own death warrant.

Even if it were to change forms now, it’s far far too late for it.

Give it your best whack!

It was ice that we could meet, mace to face.

UUGGHH, REALLY!? And you stole the last part of that pun from me!

Oh, Faye. Someday you’ll appreciate the joy of puns. And you know that puns are meant to be shared, right?

I- you-

Ahem. If you two are done squabbling, look!

And that does it for the very last challenge in the game! There are no more trials for Guild Tidehunt to overcome. They can now rest easy.

We... Did we really...!?

We really did it! WOOHOOHOOHOO!

YEEEEEAAAAAAHHHHH! IN YOUR FACE, YOU TRASH HEAP OF TENTACLES!

Not that it really had a face, but whatever.

...Miss Faye, really? Tap dancing on where it once stood?

Ha ha ha. Let her have her fun. I’d say she’s earned it. In fact, I’d say we all earned the right to have some fun after that ordeal.

Oh, in that case... Tappity tappity tappity tap!

Pfffthahaha! Ah, after everything we’ve been through, I really needed that.

It truly is over now. The Abyssal God shall terrorize Armoroad no more. (well, until it respawns anyway. :v:)

For defeating the Abyssal God, we get another guild card medal. Oh, but before I go back to town, there’s one more thing I want to show off.

The eyes on this floor stop functioning. But that’s not all...

Hey, those eyes! They aren’t opening anymore!

So it really is dead, huh? Good riddance!

Indeed. Shall we head back now?

Yeah. Everyone’s gonna wanna hear the good news!

All the eyes in this Stratum no longer work. Well until the Abyssal God respawns anyway. After all, the Abyssal God is the 6th Stratum. It’s a nice touch that the devs implemented.

Oh and for the record, if you want to refight the Abyssal God for whatever reason, yes, you do have to do the Tentacle puzzles all over again if you want to get past the first form easily. So keep that in mind. But the Tentacles won’t respawn until the Abyssal God does. Now that we’re done with the Labyrinth, let’s go back to town.

Hmmhmmhmm. This shall make for a fine trophy indeed! I’ll have to decide where in the Senatus it should be displayed...

The Abyssal God’s drop, the Darkstar Bead unlocks the Anemo Habakiri. Which is the strongest Katana, and weapon in the entire game. Of course by this point, it’s just a bragging rights reward. There’s nothing left to use it on. Unless you want to refight the Abyssal God, you utterly demented person, you.

Defeating the Abyssal God actually unlocked some new dialogue for the townspeople, but only for a few of them. Let’s see what those people have to say.

I feel like we won’t be having very many more of these talks. But that’s the natural endpoint of the relationship between explorers and a guildmaster. Wherever you guys go, you’ll be in my thoughts. So... don’t get yourselves killed, got it?

We don’t plan on that anytime soon!

Indeed. That monstrosity will trouble no one anymore.

Well done! I’m sure Master Seyfried is proud of your accomplishments as well.

Flowdia says this even if you were on the Armoroad path. The town dialogue here also differs depending on what path you took. If you chose the Deep City path:

quote:

...I just finished giving my report about you to Flowdia. It wasn’t much. I told her you’ve begun acting on your own instead of obeying the Abyssal King. She and I agreed that’s most likely in the Princess’ best interests. I want to save her... and I believe you all do too. I trust you to get this done, Tidehunt.

The Abyssal King once told me to manage this inn for explorers, and I intend to honor that duty. Although... I feel like that duty has finally been discharged. It’s time we said farewell.

Farewell, Angie. We’ve appreciated all that you’ve done for us.

Armoroad path dialogue:

quote:

...Welcome to the Twinkling Tavern. The Abyssal King once told me to manage this inn for explorers, and I intend to honor that duty. Although... I feel like that duty has finally been discharged. Can I follow the Abyssal King...?

Deep City path dialogue:

quote:

Ah, members of Tidehunt! I didn’t realize you were here. I heard you faced the evil one and came back in one piece! Congratulations! Please rest well tonight!

I’m sure the Abyssal King and the Princess will be thrilled to hear it.

Yeah, I bet they would.

...Is there even any way we could contact them about that?

Armoroad path dialogue:

quote:

I can confirm that you were the ones to exterminate the evil one. ...Well done. I feel... it is my duty to say that on someone’s behalf.

Deep City path dialogue:

quote:

I no longer feel the evil one’s presence. Is the deed done, then? Well done! You are the savior of all mankind. My duties in the Deep City are thus at an end...

Just a few more loose ends to tie up now.

The Monstrous Codex...

And the Item Compendium are now complete!

We get the final 2 guild card medals for completing those tasks. And the Found statistic finally reached 100%.

Now in other games, leaving the council area upon accomplishing 100% completion would trigger the 100% ending. That’s not the case in this game. Instead, we have to do it from another place.

Cassie. Gather up all the members of Tidehunt and tell them to meet me at the port. It’s time we all said our goodbyes.

As you wish, Faye.

Once we’ve completed everything there is to do, we need to come to Inver Port and leave.

With your report a moment ago, it’s safe to say that we’ve now learned all there is to know. Monsters, materials of the deep, and more besides... Trade items, equipment, documents, on and on... I’d be surprised if there was anything left in Armoroad that you haven’t seen. In honor of this feat, I’d like you to have this. It’s a small present from us, the people of Armoroad. What you do from now on is up to you. If you yearn to find new lands, I cannot stop you. This world may feel far away, but in truth, the seas connect us all. That’s why your leaving isn’t sad. If you desire to return here, just look at this shield and set sail in this direction. That’s it.

The Armoroad Shield is another bragging rights piece of equipment. It gives a +100 boost to both HP and TP, and a +10 boost to all stats. And it counts as a shield, too! One that everyone can equip. And with that, it’s time to end this Let’s Play.

Alright, sooo... Ahem. Everyone. Can I have your attention please?

Video: 100% Ending and Credits

I said before that this track was very fitting for each of the main endings you had to go through, and I think it’s also fitting for a final farewell.

The 100% credits are similar to the credits for the main ending routes, though now there’s no dialogue from any NPCs. There’s a slight difference within the credits towards the end, but I’ll show off all the credits here anyway. Besides, we’ll get to see all of our fully complete maps in one place!

Etrian Odyssey III is my favorite game in the series. Out of all the Etrian Odyssey games, it’s certainly the most ambitious one. And I think it pulls a lot of what it did quite well. There are some fun boss fights, a whole lot of side content such as better designed quests and a lot of things involving the sea. Overall, it was a big step for the series in several ways.

...So members of Tidehunt. Now that the Evil One is finally dead, we’ve done everything there is to do in the Labyrinth. So... So...

Come on Faye, you can say it.

...Right. So as of today... the Tidehunt guild is now officially disbanded!

Ha. So it really is over, huh?

Indeed. So... Given that we’ll be staying here, I think we should be the first to say farewell.

Uh, Charlotte, you sure you don’t want to come with me?

Rose, I’ve told you before. I can’t leave Armoroad. Not yet, anyway. But when things settle down here, I’ll be sure to take you up on that offer.

Heh. You better keep that promise!

Mmmhmm, don’t you worry. Anyways... Sir Faye... It has been an honor working with you and your guild. Everyone here has done an exceptional job in restoring the ocean city, and finally resolving the aftermath of the Calamity. And I’m glad to have been a part of it all.

Heh. It’s been an honor working with you too. ...Even if you are kind of a weirdo.

Mmmhmmhmm. Oh yes, Akatsuki. Did you know that Alice really likes eating mashed potatoes? I went through the trouble of getting you a recipe for them. It’s quite simple to make. Now don’t disappoint her!

I- um. Th-thank you. I suppose.

Hey, what are you do-

Oh, I really do have to be going! Do take care, everyone! Ta-taaaa~!

...Riiiight. Ahh... Ugh. I’m not really experienced with this whole sentimental stuff.

Heh heh, take your time, Smithy. None of us are really in a hurry.

Right um. Man, it feels like I haven’t been here that long. But even then, I got to see and experience all sorts of crazy things! Never knew life outside the Deep City would be such a trip! Kind of bummed that I wasn’t able to be there from the beginning, but it’s really not that big a deal. Well uh, I guess I better get going. I think Olympia’s in a better state to take care of things, but she’s still gonna need some help. And Charlie might need some help with cleaning up the mess in Armoroad, soooo... Beep boop! See ya!

Ha ha! Take care, Smith!

That said, the game is definitely not without it’s flaws. It’s certainly dated in places, and the class balance is really not that good. Excluding the Farmer (which was definitely intentionally designed to be bad), the Yggdroid is one of the worst designed classes in the entire series. And the Gladiator class is just so overcentralizing thanks to Berserker Vow and Charge. That’s not even getting into the balancing mess that is subclassing, which I think I’ve already shown how poorly handled it was in several ways throughout this LP.

Ha ha. You know, it’s been fun doing all this with you. I almost don’t want to leave. ...But I have a home to get back to. And um... So... What I’m trying to say is... Bye, and take care! Ha ha! I can’t wait for everyone there to meet my new friends!

Careful that they don’t cause trouble on the ship back there.

Don’t worry! They know how to behave well!

Heh, take care, Fang! And your gang of animals as well! Hey! Watch where you’re moving that trunk of yours! You almost hit me in the face with it!

And out of all the Etrian Odyssey games, this is the one that ends on the sourest of notes thanks to the Abyssal God. It’s a real shame that a well designed boss like Elder Dragon couldn’t have been the last fight of the game. Oh well, at least we were able to show that pile of poor design what for.

Guess I’m up next. I uh, don’t have much to say other than, wow, we really accomplished a lot, huh? It really has been fun, looking back on it. Though I don’t like how hairy things got sometimes, but uh, that’s in the past.

What a crazy adventure this has been, eh?

Indeed! I’ve become the queen of so many things, that I’ve lost track of all my titles!

Of course you would do something like that. And besides, just because you killed a leader of something, doesn’t mean you automatically take their place! And you weren’t even there for some of those fights! How delusional do you have to be to think like that!?

Hmph! Of course you would be opposed to my expanding rule! What’s the matter Scott, jealous that I’m the queen of all cosmos and you’re not?

Aw geez, can we please not do this right now!? We’re supposed to be saying goodbye!

...Eh- oh. Right. My apologies.

Yeah, I guess that was a bit uncalled for. ...Hey Rose, make sure to take care of her. As crazy as she can be, she’s a good kid. Though she really needs to reign in that active imagination a bit.

And you could stand to be less of a stick in the mud! ...But I do wish you well on your endeavors. And Faye. Do be more careful. You had us all worried sick when you left this world for those brief moments. Rose even tried to drag me back home because of that!

Heh, sorry about that. But you have to understand, it was getting pretty dangerous. Still... Thanks for watching over Susan, you guys. I know she can be a handful, but I really appreciated it. And uh, sorry about trying to ditch you all back then.

Hm hm. No need to apologize. I understood perfectly what you were going through at the time. It can be worrisome to lose someone close to you.

Thanks. Alright, Susan. Let’s go.

I better get going, too. As fun as this has all been, I really could use a sailing trip to wind down for a bit.

See ya, Scott! See ya, Rose! See ya, Sus... MEGAQUEEN!

Fair winds and following seas!

Take care, you all!

Goodbye, my loyal subjects...

With that said, compared to the leap from EO1 to EO2, the leap from EO2 to EO3 was far greater. And one of the reasons I appreciate EO3 is just how big of a stepping stone it was for the series. A lot of the concepts and techniques the developers learned with this game would be put to better use in future titles. So despite all the jank this game has, I can’t be too mad at it.

Miss Faye, is it really okay for me to leave?

Oh for the love of- I told you before, yes! Good grief, you don’t have to stick with us forever, you know!

Come on Akatsuki. Just go with her already.

And are you sure that you’ll be fine-

Look, you shouldn’t be that worried about me. I still got these three to take care of me!

Ah, yes. I suppose this is where we part ways at last.

Take good care of Alice!

And Alice, you take good care of Akatsuki!

Ah, of course I will! I owe a lot to him, and to the Tidehunt guild. You really helped me out, and I can’t thank you enough! Thank you for all you’ve done for me!

Shall we get going?

Oh, Akatsuki. I think you got a little something on your bandana there.

Really? Huh, I could have sworn I cleaned it after our fight with the-

MWA!

...I- dah- buh- buh- l-l-l- ehehehehe...

Oh my!

Hee hee hee!

Whoahoho, taking some initiative, huh? Hee hee hee, take care, you two!

We will! Come on Akatsuki, let’s go.

Dah! Ahem, goodbye, everyone.

Oh, and our guild shows up in the credits this time! Thanks to everyone who submitted a character and to everyone who participated in this Let’s Play! It was quite a blast writing with the characters I had to work with. Doing so made showing off the game a lot more fun! And I hope for those of you that had trouble getting into this series, that LP helped with that hurdle. (Though personally, unless you lack a 3DS, this game isn’t exactly the title I would start with. :v:) If you still can’t get into it, well I hope you enjoyed this LP at the very least. All in all...

Well then. Shall we get going?

Yeah, let’s go.

So Faye, got any plans for what we should do after this?

Hmm, you know, I heard of a place called Tharsis that was looking for explorers. Maybe we should stop by there sometime.

Orrrrr... we could just go home and relax. I could use quite a bit of it after everything we just went through. But... I’m willing to leave things up to you, Faye. What do you want to do?

Hmm... There sure are a lot things we can do or places we could go to right now. I’ll be honest, I dunno where we should start. All I know is...

Today is the start of something special!

Thank you for reading this Let’s Play.

My disdain for you all knows no bounds.
Phew! After 2 and a half-years, this is finally over! Now I won't be sending this off for archiving just yet. I need to clean up this LP before I do so (such as correcting various bits of wrong and outdated information, replacing all the Tindeck links with Clyp links.) Also I'm gonna be taking a break from EO related things LP-wise since this was a rather daunting project. I originally intended for this project to last 1 year at most, but real life got in the way several times, and the game was bigger than I remembered. Besides, there's a side LP I have to finish up, and I've left that on the back burner way too long. Sorry for anyone who was hoping I would move to EO1 immediately after this. :v: (Though that option isn't off the table just yet.)

That's it! No more hiding in tomato crates! It's time to show that idiota Germany how a real nation fights!

For pasta~! CHARGE!

Muscle Sorceress casts mace :allears:

And good loving riddance to a bullshit boss. I feel input reading is absolutely out of place in the Etrian battle system.

The Alice solo kill was awesome but of all the kills you have shown this last one is my favorite - using Knighthood to turn the Abyssal God's input reads against it.
I know it's just a programming quirk pulling something like this is almost JoJo-esque.

Together with the muscle sorceress it made for a great fight - and a worthy final for a great LP.

Knighthood is a pretty cool skill. Shame it's bugged.

Great work on the LP, Dr. Fetus! Thanks for all your hard work!

I shot the invisible swordsman.
You absolute genius. Good loving job. :golfclap:

Thank you again for the LP, and also thank you for showing us how to blow this game the hell open. I’ve always loved taking advantage of game mechanics.

I never get the last word, and it makes me very sad.
loving bravo! :golfclap: Fantastic end to an epic LP.

Can't thank you enough Dr. Fetus; I had a blast watching you thoroughly dissect this game I love but don't have the patience to really get into.

I, frankly, want this smug Jagen to be my avatar on all forms of social media immediately.
Thanks for inspiring me to go and pick up one of these games myself. I absolutely loved it and just bought EOV in time to see this LP end.

Also, holy poo poo, this was clearly an absolutely huge project, so massive congrats on making it through. That's seriously impressive.

The time has come. Soon, the bell shall ring. A new world will come. Rise, my servants. Rise and serve me. I am death and life. Darkness and light.
You absolute madman.

A great ending to a great LP. Well done!

I agree, I think 3 is a great EO game, while still being quite janky. But after the kinda samey 1 and 2, 3 is just a breath of fresh air and I love the aesthetic, the cool stuff they tried out and all the fun and broken classes, it's always a joy to play. Guess that leaves EO1 left out of the DS games and I dunno how fair it would be to let you go through that. Maybe someone else should give it a shot... :unsmigghh:

You think you can defeat ME, Ephraimcopter?!?

You couldn't even beat Assassincopter!!!
This was a blast from start to finish. Great writing, a fantastic showing of a really good game, even with all its flaws, and genuinely entertaining and informative from start to finish.

Well done. Well done, indeed. :golfclap:

And shortly after posting the update, my computer's battery failed. The LP curse just had to get in one last pot shot. :argh:

The Abyssal God got one last input read in to counter the end of the LP!
