Name: Ignatia Class: Princess Portrait: 4, Alternate. Bio: The seventh or eighth princess of some podunk kingdom from someplace, doesn't really matter. She gave up on being a true ruler long ago. She's so far back in line for succession that even if she did make it to the front of the line, all she'd have to look forward to is spending her twilight years ministering a backwater kingdom of little real standing. The more likely outcome was getting married off to some other royal nobody for political reasons. Instead, she gave up her claim to the throne to travel the land and live her life as she saw fit... which, it turns out, is a blast when you're fabulously wealthy and aristocratic royalty. Before she realised that ruling her home kingdom was a pipe dream, she tried to prepare herself for the role by studying all the great leaders and rulers from eras past. She found herself drawn especially to the old military leaders and strategists, and even after her desire to be a ruler faded she kept reading about them. From there she developed a taste for games of strategy, starting with simple board games and progressing to more and more complex "games" like leading mock battles. Eventually even that lost its luster, however, and she found herself moving on to the ultimate strategist's game (short of actual war): leading adventurers into dungeons and defeating evil. So she found herself drawn to good ol' Armoroad and the Yggdrasil dungeon, eager to join the guild and beating the dungeon once and for all. Because of course any adventuring party she led would be able to manage such a feat: she's the best. Ignatia sees herself as a great and respectable leader, but when dealing with actual people and not chess pieces she comes off more as a horrible soccer mom. She is very sparing with praise, is quick to point out mistakes, and even when things go right, well, it could always have gone better in her opinion. The only time this changes is in the presence of rival adventurers, at which point she'll trash talk them endlessly while boasting about how great and incredible her own adventuring party is, usually making trouble for everyone in the process. She's actually really good at organizing people in the heat of battle, though, always aiming for the best outcome with the least cost. Not keen on sacrificing someone's well being for some temporary advantage. History is full of foolish leaders like that who were lambasted for centuries for their mistakes, and she has no intention of being one. Edit: Oh right, LPers choice. I'm sure you can come up with fun combinations. Tuxedo Ted fucked around with this message at 17:30 on May 18, 2015 |

Hobgoblin2099 posted:I'm too late to make a character. Nah, its not first-come first-serve this time, and submissions are still open. Write up something and maybe Dr. Fetus will pick it. Also yeah I gotta echo what everyone else has been saying, the player character art is a lot more fun and interesting this time around.
