Why they wouldn't want someone looking into those books makes sense, at least. We're still before the revalation that Cordellia is a Darcsen. That information's sure to be down in those books somewhere, and having some random professor (particularly one who's purposely checking up on Darcsen history) find it would be a major issue.

Seriously. This team's a lot more tolerable and relatable than VC2. I've got a hard time believing it's the same studio let alone the same team doing it.
