Everyone in my family owned Ford trucks, and they all made that whine. I feel slightly out of place that my 06 doesn't do it.

When I moved cross-country in '06, we got a fresh U-Haul box truck on the Ford E-350 frame. It had 106 on the odometer when we picked it up in Virginia. We head down south for the good weather. In North Carolina, I was pretty impressed that Ford had cleaned up their steering. By Atlanta, it was getting a bit sloppy. In Houston, it was whining. We gave the thing back with 2060 miles, and it drove just like the '92s in the lot.

Never change, Ford.
