What was another anime about girls that had 'Red' in the title and was like they were supposed to have been killed but got saved and now they had to hunt monsters or something. No, it wasn't Gantz. I don't think they had any special powers, they just had to beat them to death with whatever they could find.

Google suggests Red Garden

I failed, instead of watching any anime I started looking up what roles my favorite seiyuus dub. Did you know Tessho Genda is the official voice of Arnold Schwarzenegger? I'm convinced this is why he was cast as Toguro in YYH.

Masako Nozawa, the lady who voices every character ever, is the dub voice of Doug Funny. Neat

Tomiyama Kei, aka Yang Wenli, is Dark Helmet in Spaceballs.

I'll never go to anime iowa, because too many of my friends from high school go there every year and it'd be awkward.

Kinnikuman is best had in small doses between your normal anime viewing, imo. It's the only way you'll ever finish the 200+ monster of a series without dying.

That's good to hear. If I put it in the simulwatch I'll just find a basic synopsis for the show for people to read real quick.

It does make me realize that most of my choices so far outside of Mind Game have been 80s movies though, so I might have to think of something else for some variety :v:

Do some 60s movies. Wanpaku Ouji no Orochi Taiji/Little Prince and Eight Headed Dragon is pretty good, and is the inspiration for Samurai Jack and Zelda Wind Waker to boot.

I think that maybe a smattering of old anime would be cool. I doubt I could get people to simulwatch all of Sabu and Ichi's Detective Tales but it's a show worth watching at least a few episodes of, in my opinion.

What's the good 60s anime? I've only seen Toei movies from that period

Dororo is really good, and is getting a DVD release. It's about a man whose father sold all his body parts to demons in order to gain power, so now he travels around ancient Japan killing demons to regain his body. A kind doctor replaced his missing body parts with swords. 5 episode were subbed before it got licensed, enough to give an idea of what the series is about. It has an insane production team, with Yoshiyuki Tomino, Osamu Dezaki, Ryosuke Takahashi, and Yoshiaki Kawajiri all working on it.

Sabu and Ichi's Detective Tales is impressively good for a show that seems like it was made on a couple hundred bucks. It's about a detective and a zatoichi who solve crimes in Edo era Japan.

Basically anything The Skaro Hunting Society puts out is probably good.
