In the gamebook series the Cretan Chronicles, we can take on an alternative take of the myth of Theseus, playing as the brother who never shows up in the original tale. We'll meet gods, kill legendary beasts, and generally roam through bronze-age Greece getting up to all kinds of stuff. It's basically greek mythology fanfiction in gamebook form. Still a neat departure from the usual high fantasy fare, though!
