Mahalo, fuckers.

So I stared a LP of Lifesigns: Hospital Affairs (or Lifesigns: Surgical Unit, as it's know in the US). It's a Nintendo DS game which is in a way a bit of a cross between the Trauma Centre series and the Phoenix Wright series (not to mention one small par dating sim!). It's a sequel to a game that was never released outside of Japan, but there are not many references so that's not a big issue. It's interesing to note that that prequel actually predates the Trauma Centre series, but this sequel was only released in the west after the relative success of those!

So if that sounds interesting to you, feel free to join in over here: http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3725760

Playing this weird and wonderful JRPG! Originally released on PC Engine in 1995, but we're playing the 1997 PlayStation remake featuring improved graphics and anime cutscenes!

If you want to see a 1990s JRPG that tries to do a few things a bit differently from usual, come and visit the thread.

Tengai Makyou series of JRPGs was in 1990s more or less just as popular in Japan as Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest. However, unlike those two, it never made it to the west. Here we're playing the second game in the series (but don't wory, like Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest, these games too have a slightly shared universe, but indepentend stories from each other).

If you feel like you want to go on a road trip across fictionalised Japan, click here to go to the thread.

What if... and just go with me here, what if someone made a game just like "The Last Express", except the train is full of Japanese high school students on a school trip when the murder occurs? And the game is in full FMV with real actors? Well, Enix and Sacom did in 1998 on PlayStation 1 and called it "Murder on the Eurasia Express", and now you too can see what that looks like if you go to the thread!
