It's the Buddhist monk Xu Zhen trying to remember a sword guy's name (not Gu Shi) and the game will just softlock halfway through. Be sure to save first if you stroll there just in case to avoid losing progress. Had that myself, found that changing to windowed mode made me able to get through.

How do you unlock training in poison? I've beaten the game once, did as much strolling as I could manage and maxed my affection for the poison lady, but she never showed up again.

I assumed that poison was the space in the production menu between smithing and cooking, but maybe not? Has anyone filled that or knows how to unlock it?
