I got my starter internal to ten, then I recommend stroll->either chores or profession repeat. Strolling leads to events which have really good rewards, give relationship, or cool stuff.

Also, as a note, painting gives a really good internal, gives HP Regen+a bunch of stats.

Beat it. Great Minister, Great Swordsmith, God of Cookery, God of Wine, two wives. Shame the endings are so railroady, no idea how to join on the other side of that event? Of the three options that start it, help Xiao, and stay out of it seem to do the same thing.

Bad new: It took 400-500 turns to max one kung fu. Half of it is rest-healing though. I recommend grinding on this battle.

Oh, and is it possible to get the drunken master to leave the valley? I've got all the other masters so happy with my progress they wandered off, but since he's bugged to not give you skills properly I want to know if I'm wasting time drinking with him or not.

Yes, it requires very specific circumstances though. An enemy who regens at a rate acceptable to not take a year. You can spend up to an hour or more just maxing a single one. Less if you just go for all the skills.

Only way to qualify is to visit with poison girl enough to finish her event, it's like 6 visits or something and got my poison to high 80's. He offered to teach me but I never followed up, or couldn't. I don't know which. He did end up teaching me the second poison art way later in another event that referenced it, but I could never train poison.

I think I messed up my character's growth or somesuch. I just got to the point early in the game where you visit Luoyang (probably misspelled) with Ji and Yuexuan, and although I can't really die thanks to the combined effects of Internal Style regeneration and regeneration from the sword style's first attack, I just seem to do abysmal damage. It took me fifteen turns to beat up some stupid bear, and it also took practically forever to bully those four blowhards in town. How do you raise damage, exactly?

This game's really addicting though. I'd been waiting for it ever since I read JosehWongKS's beginnings of a LP for it, so I bought it on impulse last night and then suddenly it was 3 am.

Martial Knowledge, the relevant fighting type (staff/sword/blade), the skill in the style itself (it levels as you use it, but you can raise it in sim too), attack power (raised by training internal/weapons/fights/etc)

Many styles also have a secondary skill that will improve it. The starting sword style is ehh, it'll be okay when you get it to level 10 but you should find a style that suits better, and a weapon to go with it. Note that you will actually deal less damage at first with a new style, but if you face an enemy who regens, and you can surtvive their damage you can train it with some patience.

Huhn? Everyone always gets one turn, even if you get stasis'd your turn still comes up. Sounds like a bug. Some enemies can attack more than once if they have something that grants double/extrattack where their attacks will repeat after doing them.

Anyway the game's translation is both better and worse than I thought. The regular dialog is mostly ok in that it's mostly just awkwardly worded. Then you get entire pop quizzes on poems that's 100% in Chinese or untranslated pictures that you need for an entire part of the game. I can't complain too much though because the game is just as good as I imagined it and it's a miracle to be able to actually understand as much of it as I can. I hope it's English sells did enough to consider a better options on future games.

Did they not give you the answer in the untranslated ones?
