palmer luckey is an idiot who stole technology and broke contracts in more places than one to  this is really palmer luckey, sorry i can't find a bigger pic right now as you know, mark zuckerberg bought oculus, manchild founder, stolen technology and all. a total of almost 3 years have passed without a consumer product. but that's OK. developer have got their promised dev kits and have happily been making games for PC, Mac, Linux and more. except it was a huge waste of time because every platform from the kickstarter campaign has now been dropped and it's windows-only sorry! it was also stated by an exec that the entry price for oculus gaming is $1500. that probably includes the price of a PC and poo poo though. so prepare to update like it's the launch of doom 3 all over again. well today oculus / Facebook has some more bad news to tell us. i don't know what it is yet, but i will make 128 posts in this thread as all is revealed. here is a liveblog by a "professional": http://thenextweb.com/gadgets/2015/06/11/liveblog-oculus-vrs-june-event/ it's starts at 10AM PST

here is the live stream: http://www.businessinsider.com/live-oculus-event-2015-6 it's a lot like an Xbox/PS4 event. basically many devs on stage showing games. they showed gameplay of Valkyrie which is in the EVE universe. it showed off a bunch of massive EVE ships with your little fighter flying around them and it looks cool. now insomniac is showing something.

they have a Steam Big Screen type software. when you put on the rift you go right into this UI. in fact you buy the games right in this service. it's basically it's own console that needs a PC to work.
