What about stories where your pet (almost) killed its owner?

When I was 10 I had a cat for about a week until I had to be dragged one night to the er after an allergic reaction (I remember they helped me breathe with a respirator tube machine thingie).

That was my first pet too (I may have had a fish but I don't remember).
