First San Andreas, a by the numbers boring disaster porn movie, and now an entourage show but sports. Too bad.

It's only the first episode we've seen, but this isn't Entourage. I was expecting it, you were, probably most of us were, but it didn't play out like that. It has some of the same concepts, sure, but it seemed more serious. That could all easily change over the next few episodes, but this first episode was legit. You probably can watch it without groaning.

The Brink was the biggest surprise for me. I didn't see much hype for it, and I just watched it because it was on after TD and Ballers. It ended up being my favorite of the three. It tickled my funny bone perfectly. Everything is hosed, but in a hilarious way without trying to have ulterior motives of thinly veiled jabs at political parties.

TD was okay. It wasn't bad, and not OMG SO GOOD. I'll keep watching all three. Brink, Ballers, and TD in that order for me. One of them has got to go to poo poo, but HBO has a good track record, so maybe my Sunday nights really will be full.

Liked the episode again. Show seems like it'll be pretty good if it stays semi-serious.

It's doing *something* right - this thread's got three pages of discussion and "The Brink" still doesn't even have an OP yet. That's pretty impressive for a show that everyone should pretty much watch by default since it's on between this and John Oliver (even though Oliver was off this week).

Kind of depressing because Brink has me laughing my rear end off.

All these shows have been amazing. I keep thinking TD is my fav, then Ballers, and now Brink. Each week I have a new fav. Brink wins this week, I think. I haven't laughed that hard in quite a while.

Are we still talking about Brink at all because that show has been as awesome as Ballers

Yah I dunno, maybe people forgot about it or something. It really is something.

I actually like the intro tune. It reminded me of the NBA playoffs song, but it's not all off key and poo poo. It has melody.

My report card: True Detective turned into a stinky turd, Ballers has been pretty good and it's still fun to watch, and Brink is still loving hilarious.

Navy Guys need their own show. They're my fav part.

I thought the preview showed something else happening. Maybe next week?

Also, the best show on TV ever has no thread. The Brink is absolutely amazing.

Really like this episode. Not really seeing the Entourage comparisons, like, at all. It feels like it's own thing. Yeah, it's feel good, some shows are just like that. When I want the downs I'll stick with GoT.
