Espilae, is it OK to tell you what cram rations are? I've never played Nethack, but it's not game-related - at least not beyond things already in your screenies.

Tasteless but very nutritious and compact. If you look at your screenshot, it's 5 weight lighter than a normal ration. So it's probably right to eat normal rations first.
