Note the ability to place 1up limitations on levels where riciulous combos are possible or necessary. Is there any confirmation on whether we'll be able to construct entire worlds or games, or choose to play saved/downloaded levels in self-contructed sets, or if it'll always be just one level at a time? PaletteSwappedNinja posted:There are no overworlds or anything like that. 100-Man Mario arranges stages pulled from the internet into a pseudo-game, and I think you can arrange stages into SMB-tyle four-stage worlds. I wasn't asking about overworlds or maps, just the ability to play levels one after the other. Is it possible to download specific levels by people not on your friends list? How many levels will the game come with? Is there any chance of DLC? Are certain elements (such as items, enemies etc.) tied to certain graphical modes (which, asstated, have their own rulesets)?)

Everything from SMB2 should be a DLC set - they'd get away with it due to its status as the 'odd one out'. So many oddball mechanics - cherries and resulting invicibility stars, vegetables and resulting stopwatches, throwable enemies, Birdo, Wart, orbs and hawkmasks, the KILLER hawkmask, freaking Subspace...

Oh, just realized, I hope 100-Mario Challenge lets the user select the initial difficulty and escalated from there, like how Time Cukf and Super Meat Boy do it. Enter the Mariunknown!

Has there been any word on whether there'll be DLC? Because I'd buy the stuff from Mario 2 (so much oddball junk - vegetables, items, bosses, the killer bird mask, Subspace, Birdo...) in a heartbeat. And classic level packs would be good too.

Szmitten posted:I don't if people have noticed this, but you know how in most Mario games when you're small and the item is always a mushroom, and if you're big the item is always a sequential power up? Maybe they could include sequential items, Super/Fire and Super/Flight. Apparently a Nintendo rep at a Best Buy demo said there were no plans for DLC, at least for now. Has it been confirmed whether there'll ever DLC or free content updates?

There was a rumor that since reviews copies of the game counted as a separate game in Miiverse, that meant all the levels were stored on a separate server and are unavailable to players of the actual release. Did that turn out to be true?
