Tons of little details in this game. The game calls back to a very minor action you can take in the first moments of the game an hour or two later.

If you don't shoot anyone as the cop the police watching him are amazed he held it together as well as he did, as opposed to if you shoot people they're horrified at what Scarecrow did to him

Major spoiler question.

So after Barbara is captured near the beginning is that really the last you see off her as an ear support character? That's a kind of brief role for her before she gets fridged.

Edited for word salad.

For when WB games makes the inevitable sequel, spin off, or origins 2, are there any major bat characters they haven't done yet? Pretty much every villain the public would have heard of its here, though there's still some heroes I'd like to see. (Huntress and question please.)

I've enjoyed the hell out of almost everything here, the racing (these apc and firefly chases are not hard What are you on about), the batmobile puzzles, the usual batman stuff, I even like the tank combat. There's just so, so much of it.

"The same puzzle over and over" isn't an accurate description at all. (And yeah, there are some which are just 'pick this up' and those ones are boring.) There's a fair variety of gadget-based puzzles for example which are not the same puzzle over and over. There are "find this thing in the environment and take a picture of it" puzzles but those are basically as close to detecting as you're going to get in that you're asked to solve an actual riddle and point to the solution.

The "CSI stuff from Origins" is already in the game. Also, again, the number of items in Arkham Knight is fewer than those in Arkham City despite being in a significantly larger area, and it actually ends up making them feel somewhat sparse and far-between at times.

Those games didn't ask you to complete it all to get the proper ending though, which is a pretty significant point to me. Some of the puzzles are also much more elaborate and time consuming with the vehicle switching.

I do enjoy it, but last night I set out to do a bunch of Riddler stuff, did about an hour, then looked at the stats and saw I'd done a whole twenty three. It's going to take forever to do this, and it's just too much given that it's already starting to feel samey.

Most of us who are familiar with the comics went, "It's just loving Jason. This is stupid."

I'm not all the way through but the point seems so far too be "batman denies its Jason" rather than them hiding it.

Yeah. It's not always challenging. But what I'm complaining about is when you're on a straight away, (like in a tunnel) hitting turbo and the APC is magically still faster than you. It's just some cheap code (at times.)

I enjoy them too. When they don't cheat. Which is about 50/50 it seems like.

The sideswipe crashes are really well expressed.

Isn't the game expecting you to ram the escorts when the APC surges ahead? Once they are dead it's always easy to catch.

If you look out to the east, it looks like theres a huge cruise liner with a ferris wheel on it. Whats that about? DLC location?

How so? It's just a regular combat room except sometimes you have to counter thrown knives. It's not a great fight but I can't see it being anyone's worst.

Yeah, it's a pretty easy one, no special guys means even with the need to do takedowns is not a real challenge

It's plenty of time. People that are complaining about the camera being "broken" are just bad at the game. It literally feels the same as it has done for the previous Arkham games.

Well, no, it doesn't. Those games definately did more with regards camera assistance. I don't think it's such a big issue though. I think it's more a case of combat being harder in general and some of the new mooks having waaay shorter tells than the old ones meaning that they can get a slap in from offscreen since the camera isn't tracking.

While I didn't find myself swearing at the camera, I did find myself somersaulting out to the edge of the combat so I wasn't surrounded WAY more than in the previous games, and I think the camera behaviour may have been a factor in the playstyle change.

Anyway, finished this, loved it, Asylums still the best in the series.

The superman returns game was bad, but it had a nice idea. Superman didn't have a health bar, because he's superman and invincible. Metropolis did though. Smash a guy through a building? metropolis gets hurt.

Suicide Squad seems like the best choice for a game after this. DC has a videogame problem that marvel doesn't really share where the characters the mainstream really knows are pretty much Batman, Batfamily, or ridiculously powered gods who probably don't make for the best games.

Is that what it was? I went back to Origins and was getting beaten up by every random thug. That's a loving terrible reason to mess with the game's timing :psyduck:

Were you playing on pc? Something is very off and different about combat on pc origins, and I'm of the opinion it's something to do with framerate or vsync, and yeah its not present in challenge maps.

This isn't a change to make batman less experienced, they even said they tried that at first and it was a horrible idea.

No I would agree with you. Most don't. Most are just 1080p60 high def with all DLC added. TLOU was fantastic though as a remake. But it also may have been a test bed for Uncharted 4 and how far they can push things with the PS4. With that said I have both GOTY editions on PC from a Steamsale - so unless they really make use of a new engine that I cannot get on my PC, there is no point in me buying this.

You'll often see them using higher res assets often from the pc version.

It's pretty rare to get an actual rework of content and texturing. Like gta5 got all new textures all over the place, not just scaled up ones.
