Just finished watching both seasons of this. It was fantastic! But now I'm sad that it's over. I know that the anime is based on a manga - is that one still ongoing? Is there a decent chance that we're getting another season at some point?

As far as I know it's still ongoing, though there were a lot of episodes in this season that I don't remember being in the comic. I don't know if that's because they were anime-original or if there is a large backlog of unscanlated chapters though.

The manga is really good. You don't get the amazing voices and serene countryside, but the art is really fantastic. Also, it somehow looks... rounder to me.

So if I wanted to re-watch everything but in chronological order, would I just alternate episodes of season 2 and season 1? Or is it not that simple.

It would be something like that but I'm not sure if there is even a way to know what that would be, or if there is anything other than a vague season pinned down for when things happen.

Guys I figured it out, when Hotaru says that she wants to visit this tree with everyone every year she triggers a time loop. Everything in this series is actually in chronological order despite appearances to the contrary.

I had assumed that the episode order was chronological, except the first episode of season 2. Just watched this whole series over the past couple weeks, enjoyed it a lot.

I watched s1e11 yesterday and the girls were very mean to Kazuho, who could've potentially suffocated in that sleeping bag. Only got e12 and the ova left before I run out of Biyori....

There's actually an officially translated volume 1 of the Non Non Biyori manga at my local chain bookstore now. Not sure if any other volumes are out yet.
