Oh... and now a break in the 4th?

This is a good match. I like this.

edit - I don't know what is happening any more. I'm happy to see the return of serve and volleying, but, that's usually because anyone who tries it gets dismantled with amazing shots being put past them into the far corners of the court...

I thought Dustin Brown played for the LA Kings. (he does, I just never knew of the tennis player before today)

You know things are off when Nadal is playing quickly instead of the usual 45 seconds between points.

Yeah, his confidence is not what it once was. Going out early to Djoker in straight sets at the french was a huge blow.

I sort of wish that that near miss ball had (gently) hit Nadal in the head and that he'd then woken up and become amazing so we definitely get to see him claw his way back from this.

edit; is this really how it's gonna go down?

double edit; poo poo, is this REALLY how it's gonna go down? If so, after that point, I would be ok with that.

VVVV: Oh yeah, you're right . Nadal's lost early so many times at Wimbledon it's hard to remember them all.

What!

That was like, one!

Now for a modest post match interview, probably.

kalensc posted:

She's a pretty lovely player that had some lucky breaks last year with regards to Grand Slam draws opening up for her. Her results outside of 2014 slams have been consistently mediocre to bad, even in her "breakthrough" season last year. According to the media though, she was the next Serena Williams/Graf/Seles/ and they decided to hype the poo poo out of her.
Her career record against actual good players is pretty bad and she's quite succeptible to any player that actually has a weapon to their game.

Edit: I don't think she's as bad as her 2015 record would indicate, but at best, she's another Kerber or Errani. In other words, an ok player who can make a 4th round or QF of a slam 1-2 a year, but will lose to the first decent player she faces.
