I deal with animals that are surrendered every day because people can't afford them anymore. Yes it's hard but you are not a bad person and you will not be judged because you have to do something like that. Seems like the adult thing to do. I also get to deal with the people who couldn't afford to get that abscessed tooth checked out and pulled and instead watched their cat die a slow painful death over the course of three months. Hopefully someday we'll get to the point where we can prosecute these cases as animal cruelty/neglect and educate people about the need for regular pet health care but until then... please stop loving adopting animals if you can't even afford an annual vet visit.
