The new guys are not even close to their level so on paper this is a much weaker team. From the newer/younger guys, Ramirez and Venegas looked very good against Mexico. Vega and Aguilar haven't really had a chance, I think Aguilar is great but Vega is overrated.

They are unproven internationally so no idea really. Venegas is 26 and hasn't yet gone abroad so he's probably stuck in the "decent local talent" category. Ramirez played a few minute for Evian but was unable to secure a place in a team that was relegated from Ligue 1.

Those of yall who are familiar with all things CONCACF will probably remember him most fondly from the second leg of the Champions League final that finished Montreal 2 America 4. He recently was at the U20 World Cup, where he worked Colombia Portugal and Korea Hungary. That's... about it. He's done a couple of friendlies for the USA in the past. USA - Honduras R: Cesar RAMOS (MEX) AR1: Alberto MORIN (MEX) AR2: Garnet PAGE (JAM) 4th: Roberto GARCIA (MEX) My favorite part about this crew is the poor Jamaican who most likely doesn't speak Spanish. Yes, FIFA Refs are required to know English but with 3/4 of the crew being from Mexico there might be a lot of Spanish going around. The biggest question about this crew for me: Why Ramos? Garcia, the 4th, was just working the Copa America. Meanwhile, Ramos is only on his second year on the international panel. I can literally only find one other full international he has done and that was French Guiana - Honduras back in March. Sure, Ramos went to the U20 WC, but this will probably be one of the bigger assignments in the group stage. For a complete unknown at the international level to get it is interesting. This could go all sorts of ways.
