Random thought I always confused Tetra Master with Triple Triad name-wise. Since obviously the more confusing cardgame should have the more confounding name right? Then again manipulating TT into a setup where no rules exist besides maybe the same rule, thats complex in its own right

Not all of the weapons you can miss at that place (and another) appear later on again there's like four or five abilities a character could permanently miss

The Ga-spells can be gained elsewhere in dics 4 yes Some Break/Flare abilties along with a white magic spell and lance art are missable as far as I know though

My bad, I forgot that the other shop changes equipment on disc 4 that also makes other spells and abilities missable Comet, Break, Jewel Its precisely of this game that I started seeing the need for the internet too

I wouldnt say FF9's combat system is unfun It at least keeps every character unique besides when you get down to it, each combat system eventually devolves into spam of whatever is most effective (FFX for instance turns into Quick Hit madness)

the Iifa Tree/flow of souls stuff is nebulous and abstract sure but I was too interested in the characters to let the plotdump slow me down and I was still pretty engrossed. I wouldnt say the story doesnt make sense anymore, its just that its a lot to absorb all at once
