I like Dirt Rally. It's like Richard Burns Rally except you can hop into a Stratos in it, and there's a nice online scoreboard where your times go and you can compete with your friends. :)

Here's a tip if you're just starting out: Save the RWD cars for last. They're much tougher to handle than the 4WD cars. :eng101:

The Peugeot hillclimb car is so hard to control, seriously, it spins out when you rev it in fourth. The lack of pacenotes up Pike's Peak makes it even harder, I kinda dig it. :)

Yeah, feel free to wait for the console version, though keep in mind that it'll be a bit more expensive, since it'll have a lot more stuff in it. :)

Finally making it through a long stage without crashing is like reaching driving nirvana.

Gimme your steam so we can compare times, HolePisser1982

There's a whole scene of keyboard racing sim players who just somehow perfected the art of tapping keys at just the right frequencies to make up for not having any analog control. It's nuts but you CAN train yourself to play Project CARS and the like fairly well with just a keyboard.

I use a game pad, too! and with practise I've gotten pretty decent times. Just try to focus on not crashing, and keeping out of the steeper dips and you'll be getting podium finishes before you know it! :)

Also, seriously, post your steam names so I can get your times on my scoreboard. :)

It's part of a system to keep the turbo going even while you change gears, called anti-lag. It's a good thing on rally cars, not so much for daily driving.
