that's an interesting case because the same people went after Intel years ago and settled out of court, Intel was making arguments that they had given money to the researchers and it was funded by US grants which made the whole thing a little weird. im not really down with patenting work you do on the gov't dime unless the parents can be licensed at a reduced rate or are open in some way

iTunes is a lot better on a Mac than Windows. Apple should really split iTunes up into separate things then make them all really good rather than one thing that's kinda ok. idk how it'd work but that's not really my problem

new atv is pretty great except for the keyboard. the setup is really cool, you can just hold your iPhone next to it and it'll join wifi and prompt you for your Apple ID stuff right on the phone ship the remote.app update tho tim

bt audio seems buggy in a way I can't quite reproduce reliably - like, sometimes things will sound off because they're coming through the bt source at a lower pitch or play slower or cut out intermittently i think apple could probably figure out how to make it decent b/c it might just be a lovely bt stack at work
