If you think about it, except for the FREAKING AWFUL CURVE TOUCH SCREEENS,, Samsung phones are just Apple phones but they come installed with good apps, instead of bad ones.

Maps works way slower and shittier than Google Maps... I even compared them a few times because it was simply unbeliveable that a simple GPS directions app was bad in 2016. Verizon had a BREW-phone GPS map app that was better than that horse poo poo in 2006. Like the routes it give me just plain suck. If I want to go to the next city over, it invariably wants me to cut back down US-50 to Sacramento, then take I-80 back up the mountain, instead of taking the highway that runs straight there and is 1/3 the mileage and has the same speed limit. WTF.

Extremely smart and well-adjusted computer man: It's actually really good that with the latest iPhone model, you will have to pay $600 or whatever + $100 for a bluetooth headphones just to play music at the gym or when you walk or something, instead of $600 + use one of the 9 pairs of headphones everyone has had lying around for the past 30 years

But seriously my iPhone 6 has horrible battery life compared to my last phone, and that was a Note 2 that was starting to have hardware failures. It's smaller and lighter but the touch screen is less accurate, and thumbing the finger print scanner is for some reason a different input than swiping up from the bottom edge of the screen, so if you touch it even a little when you try to open the control center nothing happens. The only thing the iPhone has going for it is the screen seems harder to scratch and the radio's a little better

The cable for my first iPod had the sheathing break apart within a year. It didn't split, just a huge 6 inch section of it basically slowly turned to dust all at once. Apple Is Quality.

the lock screen is already super fail. The fingerprint scanner is too sensitive and you have to drag real hard sometimes to bring the PIN thing around. On android you just have to flick.

Look ive been trying to give the bluetooth audio thing a fair shake for the past 2 months or so. It loving sucks dude. FM-quality sound and even at less than 5 feet it frequently hits a patch of interference or something and drops out or gets staticy. gently caress you that poo poo sucks. You know that never happens to cables right. Unless they're badly shielded or you're near a really powerful transmitter for some reason.

Seriously cant believe that ppl are really in favor of no ports besides Lightning. It's already criminal how Apple basically sells 8GB of internal flash for $100, on top of having no SD card, and they keep trimming the battery down for no reason so they can sell you charger cases, but somehow its a good thing that now you need to buy a bunch of Apple brand bluetooth stuff or adaptor dongles just to use freaking audio output.

Im betting the headphones are going to be super uncomfortable with a thick rear end lightning spec cable instead of your typical hair-thin 3.5mm cables where the sheathing is the biggest part

Or they will bundle bluetooth headphones and the iPhone prices will rise another $100, except the headphones are extremely bad $20 amazon pair quality and will break constantly and have horrible battery life

There's a lot of insanely cheap and bad Android phones on the market so its not the worst. But it's basically a windows phone with a worse UI somehow and more apps. Also you pay twice the price for a logo and increasingly worse battery life every generation

Its not like this is the iPod days where it really is the best product on the market when most other MP3 players don't even have pixel displays and use lovely (compared to today) flash memory.

The problem with bluetooth headphones is ive yet to find a pair that sounds good, has a good battery, and is comfortable. you basically get to pick one of those unless you drop $300 on them or something insane like that. Meanwhile you can grab a comfortable pair of 3.5mm headphones that sound decent for $20

Plus like. Floppies are actually obsolete now. 3.5mm isn't obsolete. The thing it's supposedly replaced by is either another type of cable, or Ghz-range radio which everyone knows is insanely bad if the bands are sufficiently crowded

Its like a car coming with no FM radio, because who listens to radio anyway these days? but the manufacturer sells an FM radio dongle for $150 that plugs into a port on the console

Why aren't any of these AIDS people capable of providing a single reason as to why bluetooth or extra adaptors improve the product? Bluetooth pairing is dodgy at best and always will be. Not even Apple can make bluetooth work reliably across their own products in ideal conditions without interference today with their latest products. Airdropping a pic from your brand new iPhone to your band new Macbook often requires toggling BT on/off on both devices several times today on July 29. Meanwhile a solution already exists that will always be nearly perfectly reliable.

Uhh dude get with the future ??( Cables = fail grandpa poo poo. Bluetooth = good, future science stuff. I work for a startup and get paid mostly in stock and nobody wants to get a beer with me after work because I'm 45 and smell like cheese and cat 5 cables. Apple FTW

updating the MacBook Air with USB-C is a p. big admission of failure

Proprietary connectors were fine 10 years ago when every cell phone manufacturer had different ones, and sometimes even different model lines had different connectors. And before then when there were almost as many serial or parallel perphials as there were USB 1.0 ones. But now it's 2016 and literally everything uses USB and is backwards compatible with USB 3.0 so why bother making a new kind of connector, especially when Lightning doesn't actually have any significantly different features
