If CROWDS has taught me anything, it's that the Japanese public is incredibly fickle and easily swayed by news reports.

The SaGa games have good music.

I've only played Final Fantasy Legend I, but stopped because it was hilariously indecipherable, translation-wise and mechanically. Maybe I should skip to Romancing SaGa, but I hear they're all obtuse.

The Legends game rule, in Legend I you can eat robot meat and become a Mazinger Z, and then kill God with a chainsaw.

Dragon Warriors Monsters was good. Are the newer ones worth playing?

That is rad. I should got back to that game then.

Legends 3 is probably the best and most accessible of the series. You can still become a Mazinger, and then fight Cthulhu with your time-traveling super jet. The SaGa series is great.

My Compaq didn't have a music card, so I didn't hear any of Commander Keen's music until I bought it on steam.

I just watched the first 7 episodes of Kill la Kill and enjoyed them. While I can't excuse the general creepy attitude displayed towards Ryuko, I love the general aesthetic of the show, there's a lot of cool fascist imagery to analyse, and there's a tiny Cinema Discusso goon in my brain telling me that it's all a socialist allegory for something (in a good way).

Naturally I looked for a discussion thread here, found a short post about how it all goes downhill about halfway through, and am now torn between watching the rest despite knowing that it's going that way, or leaving it as it stands, as a Cool and Good show. :(

Finish it and decide for yourself if it was worth watching.

There's so many anime that I like that after five it's too hard to decide. It's really hard to rank them, too, I like them all for their own reasons.

1. Giant Robo
2. Big O
2. Mind Game
2. Galaxy Express 999 Film Duology
2. Ashita no Joe
2. etc...
