wires are great
backlit keys are pretty cool but not essential
i actually like lovely laptop-style keys
mechanical seems like a neat thing to waste money on

thius is the baord I am typing on now only my legends are on the front of the keys not the tops (I think that makes it "stealth" rather than "rapid") and its fine

is it he backlighting? I know nothing of the different switch types

thanks for my honourary title tho

i really just want some static backlighting but if you have some lights you have to market how they can make it rain or you can play snek or whatever.

- backlit not desired
- tenkey critical

something with browns or clears should fit the bill nicely

what's all this nonsense about capacitive switches? are they the new hotness? is my yet-to-be-delivered spergboard already obsolete? i saw a thing that said they had faster activation times so i can get sick headshots and dominate the competition

capacitive switches are pretty old, actually. expensive, but even more reliable than mechanical switches. asian enterprise keyboard manufacturers like to make them, meant for data entry jobs at finance and such. one of the companies that has generic customer models is called topre. the poo poo from them are hipro models with spherical keycaps, say 104ug. it's about 300 for keyboard, and it won't feel nowhere near as good as mechanicals can, buy reliability is the only name of the game there
