I'm assuming cheatengine will solve all these issues. You might have to avoid being online on Steam, though. I'm a cranky old man for hating 95% of all microtransactions/DLC for inducing grind or needless expense... which the gameplay becomes wrapped around to turn a higher profit. To the player's detriment. To be fair, it's mostly because I'm dumb enough to have spent money on some of the poo poo in the past, and can't afford to now. I've been playing MGS V for a couple of days now with the online severs not being online at all and not being able to touch the FOB poo poo has not impacted my game in the slightest.

I'm betting Kojima had nothing to do with it. The same thing is going to happen with MGS V as happened with every other recent game to do this, people will moan about it for a bit then realise it doesn't impact the game at all and forget all about it.

I think the whole of the kind of people that spend time posting on the Internet is an echo chamber. I find it better if I want to get out of 'an echo chamber' is to go talk to some gamers in real life and get away from Reddit and Twitter. My peers around my age with families, jobs, etc. A lot of SJW types seem to be scary derelicts, addicts and failures judging by history I've seen on some of them. Since I just spent some time equating peers and echo chambers and cults it occurs to me that I could find a homeless person on the street (as opposed to taking a trip to Africa or finding some bush tribesman in Australia or something) and really get out of my echo chamber that way by telling them about GG too, but they have other priorities so I usually just talk to them about their life and give them money. In the end, I am reasonably certain of my own ability to assess facts and don't desire that much validation from other people.
