Basically, people who do it are really dumb and keep getting caught and banned. I have a toon that I sold that is still active from 2 years ago that was never banned. Probably bought 300k plat. Saw the new owner online the other day. I'm not sure what they're using to catch people but it seems to mostly revolve around the major sellers that get caught and then they ban the customers by going through logs.
