The FC SP on their jerseys is an abomination though. Whoever had that idea may fire himself into the sun thankyouverymuch.

Nice game anyway. Can soccer be more like this one and not the other Hamburg kind please?!

It won't show in the official shop so I grabbed it from Sky's video. Instead of the whole team name, they have written "FCSP" on their backs. They also have super rad numbers ripped straight from the xtreme 90ies.

Madrid is taking that poo poo to another level. Last year was bad, but this year's even worse.

While we're at it: Does anyone know if the current Adidas jersey design with the two different kinds of fabric has any kind of functionality or is this just for a new look?

Edit: Holy poo poo, these look bad with the long arms. They simply glued some sleeves at the ends.

Is anyone wearing long sleeved jerseys anymore? I thought everybody just uses one of these crazy 200€ hightech underwear shirts that keeps you warm when when it's cold and vice versa.

You could put this shot in one of those "slightly-handicapped-but-in-a-cute-way man beats the odds and inspires everyone around him" - Oscar bait trailers and no one would think twice about it. He's just not there at all!

But what I'm really saying is that I'm very much looking forward to whatever happens this evening.

Lewandowski pulled up next to me at a red light this morning. Even as 1860 supporter I got the chills looking over and simply nodded approvingly, probably looking like a complete idiot. It was like being in the presence of a mythical creature.

Then I cried because I was reminded that we don't have nice things at 60 :(

As much as I'd love this from a romantic "remember ye good ol' days?" perspective it'd be a personal nightmare. I live nearby and already dread the four Amateurderbys per year as Giesinger traffic completely collapses as soon as the stadium is sold out (it once took me 2,5 hours to get home after work. I have a 15 minute commute). Having that happen every other week would probably lead to a "Falling Down - Obergiesinger Edition" kinda situation on my behalf.

Yeah, yeah I know. It wouldn't be sold out. A man can dream though, right?

Any suggestions?"

"Let's put him into a commentary team with Lothar Matthäus, that will surely improve things!"

Reif must have the best contract ever. Like, he closed a deal with someone about 25 years ago that prevents him from being fired. You can't talk poo poo like that unless you're backed up in any significant way. Same for Thurn und Taxis who's not really commenting anything happening on the field any longer but simply recounting random facts and swooing over the 'jungen, knackigen Burschen'.

I think they could very easily avoid relegation by getting rid of a few regulars. Yes, the team is bad but they are in no way worse than others in the bottom half. It's just that there are some players that gently caress up so predictably often making it way harder for the rest of the team. If you could get rid of Kagelmacher and Degenek (maybe Okotie) I think we'd land between places 10 - 13 without much hassle.

They sold Weigl, Wood and Angha...

Weigl was never a 2. Liga player, though. His way of playing is absolutely useless if no one else in the squad can keep up. Wood I'm really sad about. He's solid and could have helped a ton. Angha can go gently caress himself. He's basically a black Kagelmacher and I have no idea how someone with so little skill can get a contract at a professional level.

I'm saying it might have been a good idea to reinvest that money to sign some of the players that Fröhling actually wanted in order to improve the team's quality.

Yeah, you're right. There were some interesting names on the table. Hennings would have been amazing and I still think they should give Cacau a one year contract and see how it works out. Even bringing Lauth back for a year might have helped, who knows. But, like I said, the squad is good enough to stay in if they'd just get rid of a few lazy assholes. I hope Möhlmann sees loving Kagelmacher for the fraud he is (without him Kiraly would still be with us - I'll never forget, I'll never forgive) and just gives him the boot.

That list is depressing. I like that Vanenburg is cut off. He only had a month or so :D

I'd love that rule. Also, what happened to players getting a yellow for demanding one? That was a good year!

Last but not least, I'd love if they'd start enforcing handball rules for touching the ball after the play has stopped. As soon as the ref stops the game the ball is only to be touched by the team with the freekick / corner / etc. Any violation is an instant yellow. It would change the game dramatically, but I think it'd be for the best.

...won?

Two shots on target, two goals. Brutally effective as always :(

To be fair, Mainz had like no shots on target until the very end. Not even in the first half (it was an own goal that happened after an absolute joke of a freekick). The red card was a bold decision, but without any replays I thought the same thing. Still, not many refs would have given it.

My friends and I also like to use "Einen Elfmeter / Freistoß müllern" whenever he makes the slightest touch believably look like deadly assault. He's so good at it!

I thought Müller's second goal was amazing. Other players would have tried something flashy (see Robben trying to run circles around Cech and failing) in that situation but he just bluntly put it in with such precision. It didn't look cool, but it was very hard to pull off.

You know my dad and I always raged against some players that are injured right now or coming back within the next few weeks. Bülow, Stahl, some others. Always thought it couldn't get worse, that they were the least qualified guys for the 2. Liga. We hated watching them play, ruining what was left of Sechzig. Not that there was much to destroy anyway.

Well...waddayaknow? Right now we're praying for them come back. It's impossible for the few good ones ('good' relatively speaking) to stem against the pure poo poo of the unholy trinity of Kagelmacher, Yegenoglu (I had to look up this spelling, because holy poo poo do I not want waste a second learning this poo poo head's name) and Degenek (who somehow keeps getting good grades in the press and by our fans). There are others well below average but these people are actively destroying the game. All three goals today were on them and it's been like this all season. You cannot win a game as long as they are in there. Simply impossible.

I'm sad :(

I know 60 didn't play very good today, but did anyone see that "foul" before the freekick that lead to the 0:2 which was the most shameless handgoal since Henry against Ireland.
