What shall we do with him? A permaban, perhaps? Probate him for a few years? Or...shall we employ a big red custom title? You, the goons of SA, shall decide his fate.
How easy is it/can it be to unintentionally fall from being a Larper to becoming a Larp lifer?

This is only true of the American Larps.

European style Larps rake in SERIOUS cash. $125 x 3000-5000 people, mostly volunteer staff.

Even with American Larps, If you can get your larp over 125-150 people you can start doing ok, as a side job running it.

Speaking of European Larps - it's well known that htey tend of be of higher quality. But what kinds of people do they attract compared to American Larps? Do European Larps have the same negative psychological effects as what we've talked about in this thread?

So, is larping EVER anything but a bad idea? If someone wants to try larping, what should they avoid, and what should they keep in mind? Or is larping something literally nobody should ever do? (The answers to these questions would of course very depending on where one lives.)

Back when I played NERO, monsters looked like this...

It was what I thought was acceptable and okay, but looking at other LARPs these days, it just seems like such a no-effort downer. :sigh:

The reason American larps are like this, from what I've read, seems to be that people in the US are a lot more judgmental about hobbies than Europeans are. The US tends to be more capitalistic, so putting a lot of time, money and effort into something that doesn't make one money is often looked down upon.
