Considering all of the candidates who have been allowed into the Republican debates, i think Lessig should be allowed into the Democratic debates and i think the Democratic Party's failure to invite Lessig to the first debate makes the Democratic Party look pretty dumb and bad.

I seriously am not against Lessig being in the debates but I really don't want to hear about a new generation of snowflake poli-sci majors who just discovered Lessig and won't shut up about him. He was an interesting guy maybe ten ago. Now I can only think of Brian Boyko when the subject of Lessig pops up.

Had someone get belligerent with me when I suggested this was another scam just like May Day was, and he challenged my assertion that Lessig was doing this so he could retire with a president's pension and bennies, totally missing that I posted that as a joke. Now I can show that this whole charade is for research, and it's from Lessig's own mouth.

I agree with the other poster who said that the press should just use the polls for and invite Lessig's VP choice to all debates since that is the person who will actually be running the country once his pipe dream of passing campaign finance reform happens.* *it won't happen.

Is there an actual link to a story you can share with us? I'd rather not get my information from screencaps. In any case, they should have let Lessig into the debate as a simple matter of principle, where he would have confirmed his total irrelevance in light of Bernie's candidacy.
