This reminds me of the raccoons in the Toronto Zoo. They were all sleeping in a tree when I saw them, with one slowly but surely sliding off. Periodically he would wake up to correct himself, only to fall asleep and start sliding off again.

That hole is where the driver's periscope goes and is supposed to have a little lid for when the periscope is retracted. I guess the lid got lost, but the original design is 110% raccoon-proof.

I used to live in a very raccoon rich area. I could go on the fire escape at any summer night and expect to see the little guys rooting around in the backyard. It was pretty neat. I've since moved away and I kind of miss that now.
