I post on a website I paid to join that uses totally archaic tech (bbcode, vbulletin) that uses inline formatting.

My dad installed Windows NT 4.0 on the only computer in the house and told me it wouldn't let me do anything I wasn't supposed to. I went through every folder on C: and ran every executable it would let me, read every text file, and tried to figure out what it all did. Show me a 22 year old that's done that- I TA'd a 400-level undergraduate class a couple years ago and half the students didn't know the difference between a network drive, the two in-computer hard drives, a usb drive and an external harddrive. They barely understood what a directory structure was, much less what a well-organized one looks like. Or how to make or rename a folder. Or what it means and what to do when windows says a file is in use when you're trying to delete it. No understanding of what a drive letter is or what they mean or where they saved something or if they even did save their work.

Kids born in early-to-late eighties: Manually edited system configuration files in order to play Video Gamez, saved money to buy new graphics cards, posted anonymously on lovely websites they often made themselves.

Kids born in the mid-to-late nineties: Press button for game. Game loads. Smear fingers on screen playing gaem. Post on facebook how well you did in game. Upload picture of self flipping off camera while making duckface.

Just letting you know I validate you and I have given thought to your opinions, and I've come to the conclusion that you make a good point, but you haven't provided a good enough argument to change my mind. If this was one of those forums where I could give you, like, a thumbs up or something, I'd consider it. - He's a libertarian, which I think is just what millennial Republicans call themselves, and I think the main reason he identifies as a libertarian is because he loves guns
- I try to give him the benefit of the doubt, like maybe I wasn't so onto it when I was younger either, but he also has this attitude problem that everyone else is wrong, and can't take criticism without just shutting down like a baby

And to top it off he's the son of one of the company founders, so he'll probably never be fired, no matter how useless he is. I would post a picture of him but I wouldn't be surprised if he was also a goon. So yeah he sucks but I'm not sure his birth date has anything to do with it.

One hateworthy thing I read about "millennials" is that they have no concept of selling out, in fact it's seen as an accomplishment to become a corporate shill as soon as possible on your youtube channel. I read that in a stupid book called "Marketing to Millennials" which I started reading but stopped when it claimed that I was a millennial.
