We were just talking about going to the club soon (my first time) and getting drunk and dancing. Since I woud be with her and my buddies all night it actually sounds appealing and I wanna go. Getting drunk and white boy dancing sounds fun.

I used to go clubbing a lot when I was younger and never got into it. I'm so glad the wife doesn't make me go.

My $300 shitbox 323 is up to $480 including registration. I spent $40 and all day making a side exit exhaust for it to be emissions tested. Turns out since the car was purchased in October, I have to go through emissions again in one month...
I also found out RockAuto has a wholesaler closeout of the full cat back system for $60... So I ordered that as well because I can't find a 2in in/out muffler with with centered ports for under $50, and the car sounds like poo poo unmuffled.

I would be fine keeping my N5 but the camera/flashlight is getting wonky and I have a crack through the top left corner that appeared mysteriously =(

Woah. I don't know how big your place is, but I think I spent around $400 when we initially bought the house, and I think it's $75/year. I think it's through terminex too.

Not all that big (~1400 sq ft), treatment is through a company our regular pest-control (which doesn't do termites, I guess?) recommended. I guess the $6xx one would cover two years, $8xx would cover five.

I'm thinking I might get a second opinion from Terminix or someone else just to have another reference point since I doubt your place is any smaller than mine.

We're right around 1350 but there was evidence of termites at one point when we were buying the house so the bank made us have it treated.

On mad max, I'm doing all the optional poo poo, and other than the animations, I don't really mind it. I use it to wind down after work and I'm not in any rush to beat it. Climbing works just fine here.

The only other minor annoyance is all the "hold to talk to" doesn't do poo poo until you release it. That and some of the camps with all the wire fence bog my old computer down. Everything else is silky smooth.

Amidst and among the earlier nonsense, I mentioned I was looking for a 7 passenger beater vehicle.

What do I need to know about a '98 Ford Expedition 4x4 with the 5.4 V8?
Like stated, the 5.4 has spark plug stripping issues. And they all have issues with lovely coil packs.

If anyone ever asks you to do a serpentine belt on a 2az-fe 2.4l Toyota, tell them to kick rocks.
I had to remove both side engine mounts to be able to twist the motor enough to get the idler pulley "sub assembly" off. Putting it back on was a nightmare because it is sandwiched between the timing cover (chain driven so no cracking that seal) so you had to tap it back on very carefully with pretty much no room between the engine and firewall. 2 bolts require dropping the motor as far as possible, and the other two required raising it. With the mounts off I lowered it too much and might have damaged an axle boot...

I put in the updated serpentine tensioner design (thank you ebay, $260 from Toyota, $190 from RA, $25 for a factory used one from eBay) which doesn't use a hydraulic cylinder, replaced the bearing and pulley since it was used, new idler (which was the bad part), and new serpentine belt. It's back to being so smooth and quiet in the car.

I also cut my palm prying out the idler sub assembly bad enough that I had to super glue it shut.
gently caress newer cars.

In better news, the 323 has a new stock Chinese exhaust which makes it much more tolerable and took 30min to install. All that's left is fixing the AC.
