Typically you'd expect a contact link to go to a contact page with a contact form, or more details like an email address, phone, address, twitter or facebook link, etc. It's fine if an email address uses the mailto URI but not the contact link directly.

If you have your own web hosting you should check out Koken. It's like your own personal Flickr with a portfolio front-end. Free, but they they have a bunch of paid plugins like a shopping cart, and other stuff. Has some nice themes, too.
