So for the Harbinger, sharing Doomed Soul gives that player Doom +1. Do Not Trifle With Wizards can also be shared, but it doesn't give the player a Doom stat. Does Doomed Soul need to be shared first, is there a rule for rolls with a stat you don't have, or was that an oversight?

E: Ignore the above, its towards the end of the playbook. They roll with +0 Doom.

Unrelated, but I'm worried my players are going to fight over who gets to take the Firebrand destiny. And that's even before seeing its custom moves, so good work there.

Why the gently caress did I not think of this. I've got to rework a bit but it fits a lot better and doesn't mess with other players.

I was bored and had a similar idea, so I came up with some rough sketches for various aspects of a playbook for a character from the Overlord's lands. Not sure if they'd fit the theme you're going for, but feel free to poach them if you like. I have no plans to make a complete playbook.

For gear:
When you left the Overlord's lands, you brought something they would kill to have back. When you start the game, no one else knows you have this. Pick one:
-The Overlord's weakness, stuffed deep in your pack.
-A strange artifact (1 use, Useful, Dangerous) that you don't completely understand.
-Hastily scrawled notes on the Overlord's secret plans (1 use). When you Look Closely, use them to add the question "What here is valuable to the Overlord?" to your list of options.

For defining your people:
Number Appearing
For years your people were seen as little more than vermin by the “civilized” races. The Overlord's forces barely consider you more. When you pretend to be part of the Overlord's armies, no one short of the Overlord or one of his Generals will question your allegiance until you prove otherwise, and even they won't bother you unless they've met you before.

For Fellowship:
Inside Man
The community has ways of contacting other rebels within the Overlord's armies, who in turn have means of harassing them. When you recover in this community, the Overlord does not heal a Threat to the World or recover his gear.

Also everything about the Orc is perfect and immaculate, that's not a question that's just something I wanted to say.

Thanks to the Spawn of Darkness option, my wife is now playing an orc, and all orcs are malleable, sapient slime molds that only take humanoid form around other races to make them feel less uncomfortable.

Also her junk cannon is literally engulfing then regurgitating whatever’s nearby at dangerous speeds. And she is planning on making heavy use of Iron Stomach to eat anything that her character can conceivably wrap herself around, regardless of whether she's Filling Her Belly or not.

I mean, the other playbooks aren't boring, but the Orc just seems to inspire greatness.

I think based on Finish Them rules, any stat could be justified.

Leap over through sheer leg strength with Blood, get lucky and avoid it with Courage, nimbly and acrobatically get over it with Grace, find a way around with Sense, quickly come up with a plan to patch it up with Wisdom, fall in and climb out grumbling but unharmed with Iron, and blow it up or something with Doom.

Some are a stretch, but they could be made to work in the narrative. Main thing is how much you wanna lean on a character finding a safe route with Sense or MacGuyvering up a solution with Wisdom, which could seem a bit silly. I imagine it would work if you presented it as using the environment to your advantage rather than burning gear.

So, one of my players has expressed an interest in being some sort of slime-person, but I don't think I've got the know-how to convert the Rainlord when it's my first time with the system.

Has anyone done anything similar they could share with me?

My wife does this as an Orc. I Smell Fear is skinned as the fact that she's a sentient blob that can take on different unsettling shapes, the Junk Cannon/Iron Stomach is her engulfing something (then regurgitating it, in the case of Junk Cannon), and so far she took Lives in a Shoe with an advance to mimic slithering into small places, Brutally Cunning is her spreading herself out to keep foes from getting past, etc. Her people are Spawn of Darkness.
