Gonna get into a Cobra asap since the Viper can't hold any drat cargo and hopefully not gently caress up smuggling Can you still do the one weird trick where you accept the mission, abandon it, then sell the cargo in the hub? Also as I understand in the smuggling theory is request a dock, line up to the slot, boost up and hit silent running until you get inside?

OH for fucks sake I was putzing around a LES doing my bounty hunter thing when I see a fight going on in the distance. I boost and lock onto the guy taking it who is at about 5% hull with no shields. I accidentally tap my multigun which spins them but a round doesn't fire. He blows up from the other dude and suddenly all the cops are trying to kick me in the dick a) the gently caress, I didn't even actually fire b) how do I pay this without getting blown up? e: reading up I guess that's my only choice or wait 6 days. Yeh I've dodged them so far Went to a different system and manged to wing another NPC in a huge firefight and got a 600 fine. At least I had 300k of bounties to turn in first.

Viper feels fragile when an Anaconda comes up Wanted so I wouldn't say it's the easiest ship in RES I just wait until there's a critical mass of green cops, then fly out and zap Wanted ships that clearly outclass me and kite them back to the group who promptly take them out. 4 pip engines on a Viper means nearly constant boost! Would be nice to move into a Courier though e: Question about weapon sizes, Small vs Medium vs Large. Is it a giant boost? Going from 4 mounts on my Viper to 3 on a Courier to 2 on the Vulture feels odd but I assume the bigger sizes more than makes up for losing the extra attacks? Is there any way to shut up the cockpit voice over? I toggle Flight Assist on and off all the time in combat (sweet spins) and I don't need the DING FLIGHT ASSIST ON DING FLIGHT ASSIST OFF DING FLIGHT ASSIST ON the entire time. I'm fine with the sound but the voiceover is just unnecessary. Did they not think people would do this in combat?

Only holding 2500 rounds really, really cuts into my bounty hunting money per hour because I have to keep going back to reload, and unfortunately in the area I currently dick around in, the system with the RESes isn't a system that actually sells loving ammo so I have to FSD to another system just to restock.

You do a mission On Land Mass which is basically go forward and blow poo poo and sometimes drop a thing (helpful or harmful) on a target and then you are in space and you dock Sometimes you stop going forward a lot and can only go sideways and a little forward because you're at a boss If you didn't just go straight to full auto cannon you are a giant idiot and should throw a magnet on your NES

Friend who is getting into the game came over and played around with HOTAS, loved it and wants to get his own But I cannot recommend the X55 because I'm still having lovely idiot Random Button Press issues It took me out of rotational correction 3 loving times while trying to land today like come on X52 have this issue? What's another brand he can look towards, preferably one that's a bit cheaper than my X55

Thanks for the recs guys I'll pass it on Enjoyed doing some non-declared RES today, on the way out at 44% hull found a USS a light-sec from the place I was heading, dropped out and it was a sole Anaconda I would have tried it, I really would have, but I had a ton of bounties to turn in and at 44% hull that is risky against such a big ship One day he will be easy pickins

Wow the payout from conflict zones is terrible. 70k for an Anaconda (why did I fight an Anaconda) which took 10 minutes to kill while I can take down a Sidewinder in 10 seconds and get 20k. Also the most boring thing when you are tinyship vs Anaconda is when you get them hosed up enough that they can't actually do anything, and then you ran out of ammo because it's a god drat Anaconda and you're a stupid little Viper. That last 5% with small lasers was so boring, slowly tailing a spinning out of control ship.

Got my Cardboard, had a few minutes to try to get it to work Sort of interesting but I put the headband on dumb and owww the cardboard hurts, wish I had seen the foam one before I ordered It's laggy and the head tracking sucks but I was using all defaults that just made it work. Probably can play with it to get it working much better Using a Nexus 5 and strains the cardboard and I think it's too big to work much better, I'll have to find my old s3 and hope its up to the task This just makes me yearn more for a real set and I'll probably get whichever of the good upcomers is first to market

Thinking about just getting a Cobra since I have a couple million; can I transfer my weapons since I'd used the same loadout? Also I might have screamed at the screen because my "ok one more" bounty was a fed dropship that loving melted my shields and blew out my powerplant seconds after which made me just sit there as he pounded me into spacedust and I lost 300k of bounty. Not a lot to you space trumps but that was needed.
