My favorite arc is Impel Down and my least favorite is none of them. I like all of the things and am easily pleased and want to give out hugs. Who wants a hug?

The issue exists because ten years ago fan translators didn't know how to translate a particular word and a lot of people latched onto it because the releases were their primary and/or first exposure to a series they grew to love.

I like the paper versions for the omnibuses because I like actually holding them instead of using these newfangled electronic devices to carry my collection. Said devices are pretty great for reading new chapters though.

re: Zoro thoughts I took Zoro's treatment of Monet to be about how little he thought of her fighting capabilities regardless of her sex. Like if Tashigi could actually catch up to Zoro in some fashion he'd be as happy as anyone else at the prospect of the fight. Kuina's father's words struck me as what a person who'd never been to the Grand Line would say.

As much as Oda has had ideas and plans for a lot of his plot points I think there's a decent chance that Devil Fruits were, at least originally, a gimmick to hang super powers on that weren't intended to get explained.

Devil fruit become-ening feels a little like the rules for feeding mogwais. It makes sense on the face of it but then there's that scene in Gremlins 2 where the people in the control room are picking the rules apart logically and you're like, "huh, yeah, that doesn't make a lot of sense does it?" But Gremlins is still a cool and good movie.

I'm not a fan of Wapol but that's mostly because Drum Island, overall, doesn't click well with me. His powers were pretty cool though seeing how he mooshed two people together and later ate himself skinny. I like Jango but I feel like that's an obvious choice and therefore a cheat.

I don't mind Rayleigh knocking out random sea kings any more than Shanks knocking out random pirates or Luffy knocking out random Amazons. Being in control of the strongest of sea kings, New World crew members, and Amazons still probably counts for quite a lot to their leaders.

I'd be more willing to dive into HxH if I didn't have such a hard time getting into shonen I didn't read as a teenager. One Piece is the first one in over a decade that I both liked and kept liking. I'm willing to admit that the fault is with me but I've mostly stopped trying to read other punchman comics at this point.

I don't want Luffy to be able to hear Poneglyphs or whatever simply because I want Luffy to continue to be Not Roger. Luffy will surpass Roger by ending the WG in its current form using the crew he's gathered by his force of will. It will be by actions and not by using Roger's skills +1. I hope, at least.
