I'd also feel bad for Fredex, he deserves the playoffs at least.

Bears do look like a good candidate but their schedule looks to have too many teams that are capable of playing even worse than they do. If they get it, they will have certainly earned it.

I remember Pernell McPhee and Shea McClellin because they were the guys that Gronk was embarrassing over and over again last year.

... I think you also have that old Cowboys DT... Jay Ratliff right?

Reminder that the bears have never picked top 3 in the super bowl era (last two #4 overall picks were Benson and Dan Hampton) so this could be a historical year for the franchise

No way--they could beat Oakland, Minnesota, SF, Washington, or Tampa. Also don't underestimate Detroit's ability to piss away games late in the season so i'd put them on it too.

Yeah that's about the only one I can come up with.

Man even after cheating no one jumps out at me as someone I should have remembered.

e: vv--except for that guy, who isn't active because of suspension so I missed him while cheating.

oakland is good now, as is minnesota. sf is a question mark, but the bears run defense is so bad that they could theoretically never pass the ball.

It depends on when Cutler gets back. If Clausen starts next weekend against Oakland, there is no way they win. With Clausen out there they are the worst offense in the league.

"Good" is meaningless. Teams poo poo the bed. We're three games in. And sometimes bad teams play better for a week. Also plenty of 2-1 teams have turned out to be frauds. All of the teams I mentioned are within reach of the bears, maybe more.

I thought they had that horseshit safety Chris Conte on the team but I guess not

Wait wait, Pernell McPhee was the guy who they signed from the Ravens right?

Damnit, I listen to way too much of the Grantland NFL podcast. Poor Robert Mays and his hapless Bears.

I could actually be convinced to get behind John Fox, Trestman and Lovie as HC/OC/DC

Not with this roster, though

the bears arent' making GBS threads the bed. the bears are playing pretty much as advertised. their defense is a tire fire converting from a 4-3 to a 3-4 with nobody in the secondary. their offense currently is comprised of matt forte running into other players while wishing to be on literally any other team in the nfl. they have no special teams and have given up two (2) kick returns for touchdowns so far this year. the bears are literally the worst team in the league. the bucs have, somehow, a slightly stronger roster.
